Great place just out of the fray
This is a lovely, old place, with 2 great bedrooms and a 3rd comfortable but without a usable window so good for a kid. There are 3 fabulous bathrooms, 2 are ensuite and one in the hall; all modern, big enough and comfortable.
The main space is comfortable, though the couches should be cleaned. The kitchen’s a bit odd in that it’s divided into two areas on each side of the hall, but more than manageable.
A small balcony overlooking the interior ‘courtyard’ of the buildings around it, seats 2, and 3 if you pull out one of the dining chairs. Beds were comfortable, covered in light blankets, and offered crisp, clean sheets and pillowcases, plus extra blankets. Towels were white, fresh and plenty.
The only issue was that the coffee maker didn’t work, but across the street, or beside the main building entrance, are 2 great cafes; just make sure you get there when they’ve opened!
We loved this place, only a 15 minute walk from Plaça de Catalunya – the centre of Barcelona – through lovely streets, and took us 40 minutes to walk to the beach. If you want a convenient, yet quiet out of the way spot, this is it.
