Converted from an old hay loft, this beautiful property forms part of the oldest properties in the medieval, hill-top village of St-Puy.

Set high above the centre of the village it has stunning views of the surrounding Gascon countryside.

Recently renovated by its English owners, the cottage is light and airy, with exposed stone walls and beams. To the front there is a spacious open plan living/dining area with fully fitted kitchen, ample room for dining and relaxing and views over the village and surrounding countryside. To the rear of the property there is an equally spacious bedroom area with en-suite bathroom with views to the garden.

The property accommodates 2/3 guests but there is the option of further accommodation or occasional guests in the owner's adjacent property if required. The cottage benefits from its own private entrance and terrace area in the garden and guests can use the owner's pool by arrangement.

The property is located in a quiet area of this Gascon village but is within walking distance of the shop, bakery, tabac and bar, making for an easy and relaxing stay. Further amenities can be found just a short drive away in the nearby village of Valence sur Baïse, where there is a Carrefour supermarket or the market towns of Lectoure, Condom or Fleurance. The regional centre of Auch is 25 minutes drive away, where there is a wide range of commercial outlets, cathedral and train station to Toulouse.

The owners have recently converted an additional barn on site into a Pilates studio and well-being space. This will be available from 1 April 2018 and guests are welcome to participate in classes or book individual sessions with the owner who is a UK qualified instructor. Yoga, reflexology and mindfulness also offered, enquire direct through the owner.

The cottage has been tastefully renovated from an old hay loft and is brimming with charm and character. It provides a peaceful, restful place for couples, friends and small families to enjoy this historic area of south-west France, known as the Gers. Set high above the village, close to the nearby chateau Monluc, the property is ideally located. The village centre and its amenities which include a highly acclaimed bar/restaurant, bakery, shop, chemist and pizzeria, are a 5 minute walk away, making for a very easy vacation. Wine tasting is available just metres from the property along with other culinary delights at the nearby Terre Blanche. From the village there are ample opportunities to explore the beautiful area by foot, cycle or car, with lots of tourist attractions and pretty villages just a short driveaway.
