6/10 Okay

Aggressive neighbour mars holiday
The property was averagely good and perfectly acceptable. On arrival we parked by the property which appeared the natural space. Almost immediately a male neighbour came out shouting very aggressive we can’t park near the property it’s his spaces etc. very angry. This dampened spirits and very off putting. Had we been older or unused to calming an angry person I would have been in tears. For that reason, I’d not recommend.

This was our fifth visit to The Chandlery, it's a brilliant base for exploring the area. We hope to book again for next year. A comment from my husband about the windows and patio, they were a bit uncared for. However he did oblige by doing a bit of weeding.

10/10 Excellent

Our stay at the Old Chandlery, Avoch.
This is a lovely, bright and well equipped property situated right across from the harbour in Avoch, with stunning views across the firth. Avoch is a charming village with walks through the old part along the shoreline easily accessible from the property. Car parking is available across the road, directly opposite the property, and was never a problem during our visit. The only negative comment is that the rear of the property is in need of a clean up, with cobwebs and copious weeds spoiling first impressions, as this is the site of the key box. Could easily be added to the cleaning / maintenance schedule. That apart, we would have no hesitation in returning to this property in future.

Short break in Avoch
The Old Chandlery is very spacious and comfortable. It is very well equipped and felt comfortable and homely. The location is great, with a beautiful view out across the harbour and parking very easy. The town is peaceful and pleasant to wander round. The house might benefit from some instructions, for example for refuse emptying and also how to work the tv etc. We had a lovely stay.
