About this property

"Quiet" studio historic center Avignon

The studio (standing) that we offer (independent, secure entrance) is located on the ground floor of our house. It has been completely refurbished.
In a historic and residential area, it is a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes, Place de l'Horloge, many shops including Les Halles (a true temple of good food), pedestrian streets, restaurants, buses and of the main tourist sites of our beautiful city.
I used all my know-how (I worked before coming to live in the Cité des Papes on shoots in Paris as decoration) to make it as pleasant as possible. It is therefore very comfortable, bright, calm and furnished with care and taste, even in its small details: exposed beams, patinas, travertine, lime paint ... Much of the furniture and decoration is old. It was during our travels in India that we found these.
The bedding is very good and new (convertible sofa very easy to use, pillows and down comforter). Hob, hood, oven, fridge / freezer, toaster, washing machine, stereo, hair dryer, iron ..., pretty dishes and plenty of storage space complete the package.
The lane in which we find ourselves is very little frequented by motor vehicles. This characteristic ensures calm and tranquility both day and night. There are also many wooded gardens all around: the countryside in town ...
Bird songs, cicadas in summer and church bells establish the sound characteristic of the place, the blue of the sky adds its color.
The plus: Access to a splendid shaded wooden terrace, located on the 3rd floor of our house, with a view of the Palais des Papes and the Doms' garden (hammock, summer lounge, plants ...) A haven of rest, ideal for gazing at the stars, enjoying a good tea and savoring the present moment ...

Home away from home. Bread and jam awaited our arrival.
The property was amazing. Very clean, cozy, and welcoming. Our host Sylvie could not do enough to ensure we were comfortable and aware of what Avignon had to offer. She also listed the places of interest, coffee, chocolate, bread, and icecream. Also advised of surrounding small villages of interest.

A Lovely Stay in a Lovely City—With a Gracious Host
Sylvie’s studio apartment was comfortable, cozy, and charming; it had every we needed and was in a great location: a three-to-five-minute walk to bakeries, groceries, and restaurants, 10 minutes to the Palace of the Popes, and 15-20 minutes on foot to anywhere else we wanted to go in Avignon. But what made this stay truly exceptional was Sylvie herself. She was not just cordial and informative but also kind and helpful—and available for engaging conversation about the city, its history, and what it has to offer visitors. Sylvie and her studio apartment get our highest recommendation.
