About this property

Stylish Apartment in Edinburgh City Centre

Leopold Place is a large (100 m2), quiet, city centre basement flat with small private garden to the rear. The front of the property faces south making the living/dining room bright and airy whilst the bedrooms are situated to the rear. There is a private front courtyard ensuring privacy from the road above.
The kitchen adjoins the living area and is equipped with Siemens/Bosch large appliances throughout (oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine). Smaller kitchen appliances include microwave, cafetiere, kettle and toaster.
The dining area of the living room seats 4 but with the option of extending the table to seat 6. HD digital TV is at your disposal and there is a Bose Bluetooth speaker for listening to music.
There is a king-size bed (150 X 200cm) in the master bedroom with a double bed (135 X 190cm) in the second bedroom. A single bed in the master bedroom gives added versatility to sleeping arrangements or the option of sleeping a 5th person (at an extra charge of £30/night).
There is gas central heating throughout and on-demand hot water

The central location of Leopold Place means that everything is close by with the majority of Edinburgh's attractions within walking distance. Many of the venues for the Edinburgh International Festival are also within a short walking distance and the Playhouse Theatre is situated just 2 mins walk from the apartment. John Lewis department store, the new St. James Quarter and the Omni entertainment centre are also less than 5 mins walk away. Topping & Co. bookshop is directly over the road from the apartment.

Valvona & Crolla, arguably Edinburgh's best delicatessen, is literally around the corner.

Stay was too short!
We were so impressed by this spacious, clean and so very quiet property, that far exceeded expectations! My only disappointment is that we only had 12 hours to stay in the property!!

Fantastic Find
Loved our stay at Leopold Place. Wish it could have been longer. Checked Tattoo off my bucket list. So many things to do so little time. Hope to bring my family back. Thank you Mark, lovely place, wish we had time and weather to enjoy the back terrace.

Fabulous place!
I’m always so worried that the place won’t match the description/photos but this actually exceeded my expectations. Amazingly spacious, well decorated and excellently located flat that I’ll stay in again if I ever make it back to Edinburgh. Thank you Mark!!

First visit to Scotland
The flat is still in a great location with easy walking distance to most tourist locations in Edinburgh. We had an excellent time and the flat was perfect for our entire family. The flat was on a busy street but the basement location made the flat really quiet and the rooms were very spacious for all of us to unwind after a busy day of taking in all that Edinburgh had to offer. The owner (Mark) was easy to contact and met all our needs and questions and also gave us good recommendations on what to visit during our time in Edinburgh. I would highly recommend this flat to anyone. Thank you!

Better than expected!!
We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. It was even more beautiful than the photos and was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need during our trip. It felt like a home away from home with a lot of space and high ceilings. The location was perfect - close to everything but not too noisy (you can't hear the outside noise from the apartment anyway). Right across the street is Calton Hill. A short walk up the hill and you will find the most spectacular views of the city. The owner, Mark, was friendly and helpful when we had a couple small things we needed help with. It was a pleasure to meet him and he was genuinely interested in making our stay comfortable. When we got home to Canada we watched a show called "International House Hunters" and actually saw the apartment building on TV - a fun bonus after our trip!
