Town is 5 minutes down the road by car ... or walk, it's 1.6 miles.

Perfect & Enchanting
I was fortunate to be able to spend the better part of a week at this lovely space in Crestone. The house is new & immaculate with great artistic touches throughout and a lovely soothing feel to it. The space is very quiet, filled with books, and private with great views and a nice sitting area for shade outside. The kitchen is shared with the owners who are very quiet and considerate, and you have to walk though the shared kitchen area to get to the private bath. The owners request that you only cook 1 meal a day in their kitchen, but after making adjustments for that it was really quite peaceful and harmonious. Personally, I found the company and knowing that there was someone nearby comforting. The area is very remote. If you were wanting to be totally alone out in the remote areas of Crestone this might not be the place for you. But as I said, the suite is very private and always quiet and there is a private entrance. There is no internet, however there is a library nearby and a great little coffee shop next to the grocery store in town about 2 miles away. Sweet spot!

Fantastic getaway
The space was lovely and calming. Just the right location for visiting the sand Dunes and local hot springs. And the view was breathtaking. We're already looking forward to staying again!

This was a quiet, peaceful home with a committed owner full of hospitality.
The suite is spacious and beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable and loved the gorgeous views. The property abuts a tranquil green belt where an easy walk into the woods makes you feel miles away. Signs of deer and other wildlife were everywhere. Close to town and yet secluded, this home was perfect for us, a couple who needed an escape for a few days. The owners are delightful and kind. A sharing spirit is present at all times with a smile. We recommend this propety for anyone looking to get away fro awhile and enjoy the silence of the mountains in a comfortable place. Thank you for making our trip so worthwhile!

Why they chose this property

it is magical.

What makes this property unique

Experience the unique feel of a strawbale house.
It's at the end of a road that borders greenbelt and a wonderful retreat,
like staying in a national park. with a forest & a 'fourteener' right out the windows.
also we have a vigilant neighborhood watch program.
It is not unusual to spot wildlife right outside the windows.
