Lovely little Oasis !
The property host, Carlos, met us for checkin, and was very friendly, helpful, and thorough. The property is most quaint in a quiet rural setting. The historic stone farm buildings together with the spectacular surrounding gardens make for a very charming environment. We stayed in the original farm home, and found it comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, and quite workable. Carlos had a bowl of fresh fruit on the table that he replenished as the week went on. Initially, we found the property hard to locate, and the GPS was of little help. The access road in is rather hilly and windy, so it takes a bit longer than a look at the map would suggest. Nevertheless, this is a great location for exploring the beautiful North coast of Tenerife, as well as El Teide and the Corona Park areas. The lovely historic town of Orotava is about 30 minutes away, and the large center of Los Realejos about 20 minutes. We were very impressed with Carlos’ passion for this property, and his sensitivity for responsible and sustainable tourism while preserving history and respecting the environment.
We would recommend this property as a unique and charming choice away from the usual tourist traffic.
