About this property

Clematis Cottage, a charming cottage for two next to hamlets and clifftop walks

Location and Area

Discover the enchanting Clematis Cottage, a snug semi-detached haven tailored for two. Nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Trenale, this delightful retreat is a stone's throw from Tintagel and the exhilarating clifftop trails and sandy shores of the North Cornish coast.

Tucked beside a tranquil country lane, the cottage is accessed via a shared gated pathway with a neighbouring property. Tintagel, a mere half-mile away, offers a charming array of independent shops, restaurants, and traditional pubs, not to mention the captivating medieval stronghold of Tintagel Castle, entwined with the legend of King Arthur. The renowned beaches of Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, as well as the captivating fishing village of Boscastle, are conveniently located at 2.5 miles' distance.

With the garden at the rear of the cottage offering truly enchanting vistas, Clematis provides the quintessential Cornish sanctuary where you can idly pass the hours and unwind in style.

Accommodation

The front door ushers you into a narrow kitchen adorned with original beams and a slate floor. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, including a fridge, fridge/freezer, electric hob, combination microwave, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A single step leads you up to a classically furnished sitting/dining room characterized by its beamed ceiling. This cosy space features a smart television, comfortable seating, and a charming view over the secluded lawn garden through a cleverly installed window set within the original fireplace. Winding stairs ascend to the snug twin bedroom, complete with 3ft pine beds. Just one step up from the bedroom, you'll find the en-suite bathroom, which includes a WC, hand basin, and an electric shower positioned above a half-size bath.

The delightful garden, offering picturesque views, is accessible from the front of the property to the side. Here, a convenient out-house is located, providing ample space for the laundry equipment. Heating for the property is provided through a combination of night storage heaters.

On one side of the front patio, you'll find the laundry room, while a side gate grants access to the charming, enclosed garden. This delightful outdoor space features a handy external W.C., a shaded lawn, and a small hidden garden waiting to be explored, complete with an uncovered pond. From this vantage point, you can revel in breath taking panoramic views, especially during dramatic sunsets – a truly enchanting experience, made even more delightful with a bottle of wine in hand. Garden furniture is thoughtfully provided for your enjoyment.

A parking arrangement has been established with a neighbouring property, and for further details, kindly get in touch with our office.

Value for money?
Disappointed to learn that people staying in a neighbouring cottage had paid far less for a much superior property.

Lovely little Cornish cottage. Peaceful location, minutes from centre of Tintagel. Good size garden To relax in,with a smaller garden Attached. The smaller garden has a pond and a terrace With views over Tintagel. Ideal to watch the sunset in the evening. It even has an outside toilet in the large garden. Ideal cottage for a couple looking for a bit of peace and quiet and not bothered about the lack of WiFi.
