Great location for a relaxing holiday
We (4 girls in our mid 20's) stayed at this apartment for a week in June and had a wonderful relaxing holiday. The apartment was well stocked and had everything you needed. It was spotless and well maintained. In terms of apartment size, it would probably best accomodate no more than 4 adults. Both during and prior to the visit the owner was wonderfully helpful in terms of advice on travel arrangements and things to do/places to see. We visited just before the Summer holidays and the pool was almost empty everyday. The location had a great feel about it - lots of locals around and was part of a well maintained, pretty complex. Was a 10 minute walk to a large supermarket, walking distance to Port Grimaud for the beach/restaurants as well as to Marines de Cogolin for the ferry to St Tropez and more restaurants. However, we spent many nights sat on the spacious balcony enjoying the view and eating in! All in all, a lovely location for a relaxing holiday if you are looking for somewhere slightly out of the major tourists areas but close enough to walk to enjoy dinner/drinks/beach/shopping. We would definitely stay again and are already discussing next years holiday!

A great holiday
We had the best ever holiday based just 4-ish miles from Saint Tropez in Port Cogolin. There is easy access to the wonderfully glamorous Saint Tropez via car or via the the great fun and regular water taxi just a short walk from the apartment. The beaches are totally marvellous along the stretch of coast literally right by Saint Tropez. I have seen people talking about the Pampelonne beach but from our experience there were about 5 fantastic beaches right next to each other. Our favourite was the Tahiti beach which was great for the kids, crystal clear water, a lovely beach bar and perfect white sand. Parking at beaches was plentiful and easy access (costs 4 euros). The apartment was exactly as described and was a perfect base for us (2 adults and two kids). There was a great DVD player and TV so don't forget to take DVDs if the kids like watching them at night. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy and the small kitchen area served us perfectly. We didn't use the balcony much (mainly to hang out our towels and washing), but it was large and has a good sized table with four chairs. There was a good view from the apartment and the pool was a good size and shape (bigger than it looks in the photo). I have no complaints whatsoever with the apartment. The Port Gogolin area was great for us too, you can walk to the massive Casino supermarket in five minutes and to the large funfair in 10 mins. There are two restaurants right in the Port area (like 2 mins walk) which we ate at and both were excellent and very well priced (good Pizza's). Make sure you rent the parking space from Sarah, its well worth it and needed as the walk to the public car park is a bit far with shopping and stuff. If you fancy a big day out we did two, we went to Aqualand in Frejus it was massive with loads of great flumes and pools, we also went to Cannes (hour drive), the shopping there was amazing and atmosphere and excitement of the pace blew us away. My wife bought new sun glasses in the Chanel shop arrrhhh :)

I left Essex 23 years ago & travelled the world extensively thanks to seasonal work. I have lived in France & Spain for 23 years, worked in Saint Tropez on a private beach for 14. I have served many famous people, including Prince Andrew, Paris Hilton, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Alan Shearer with Speedy and Naomi Cambell working hard whilst taking full advantage of the glitzy lifestyle here. Personalities go for coffee on the port so you never know who youre going to bump in to. It's quite normal to see someone famous here mingling amongst the tourists & it's the naturalness that I enjoy so much. However it's my mum that keeps me up to date mainly telling me who's here from the newspaper articles and magazines she reads as I work too long hours to know whats really going on. However the hidden nature of this region is why I returned year after year & 6 years ago decided to make it my home. There are numerous walks here in the area taking you from beach to beach all the way from Gigaro in La Croix Val Mer to Saint Tropez port via Pampelonne and Les Salins. Vineyards galore open to the public for visits and tastings daily & local Provincial markets for flowers, lavender, fresh fruit and veg, pottery and paintings on different days of the week depending on the village. I have purchased 2 properties in the area and many friends and family return yearly off season to discover & enjoy the region with all it has to offer. It truly is a special place full of divertisy. I am always on hand if you need anything during your stay.

Why they chose this property

I had a few French friends that had bought in the residency and the tranquility provides for a relaxing escape to the bustle of Saint Tropez albeit nestled in a luxury region with all you could desire to live here all year round. Its close to all the big towns and airports but has the village commuity feel I grew up with in the UK, I just get a lot more sun here ;)

What makes this property unique

Water taxi, boat rental, flying lessons are unique benefits I didnt have in the Essex countryside, making my decision to stay here quite easy.
