Lovely Apartment in Lagos
This apartment is very nice and we very much enjoyed our three week stay. It has four main rooms with the two bedrooms being separated by a large well appointed kitchen and a large living room. This allows for four sliding doors onto a long spacious balcony and makes it especially convenient for couples to share. Each of the sliding doors has an electric roll down shutter for privacy and security at night. We had a weekend of rain and found the many channels available on the TV very welcome. As noted in other reviews Rik the owner and Steven the manager are both pleasant, helpful and efficient.
The building is very quiet and kept spotlessly clean and is next door to an Aldi supermarket. It is situated in the north-west corner of Lagos making for an easy exit to explore the whole of the Algarve and, if you are like us elderly, an easy drive into the old town where there is a convenient underground car park.
Lagos is no longer a small fishing town but it I charming with quaint alleyways, good restaurants, lovely beaches and an interesting harbour where boat trips are available. With growth comes change, now the field opposite the apartment that is shown on Google maps opposite the apartment is now fully occupied by a Brico Marche hardware store with a consequent rise in traffic. When we were lost, frequently! It was easy to find the apartment by following the signs to Brico Marche.
A very nice holiday in the sunny Algarve which we first visited over twenty years ago and which is still lovely despite the many changes.
