First impressions count ! Apparently not
First impressions count ! They say in life it's necessary to make a good first impression. This concept has clearly been lost on this property and its owner. Upon arriving at the property we soon discovered levels of filth and uncleanliness we have never experienced when renting a holiday home in the uk. Where to begin... 1. No wardrobe space as in the master bedroom this had been taken up by all the owners clothes. In the second bedroom the main wardrobe was full of dirty sheets. 2. Dirty bathtub - this had a horrid ring of yellow scum all around it to which the later claimed is a dirty water mark that's been there for 5 years. I would suggest she have this looked at. 3. Thick dust on virtually every shelve in the house 4. Electrical wires hanging from the walls 5. Broken cabinets 6. When opening the freezer the plastic panels fell off 7. A rusty unusable bbq 8. Holes in the wall where things such as toilet roll holder has fallen off 9. Yellow stained sheets 10. Old hard towels 11. Dead flys all over the house 12. Marks all over the walls 13. Moldy and rotten books After an hour of arrival we left the property and informed the owner. The response was utter disgraceful. She claims the place was:is spotless and had been professionally cleaned - I have advised her to seek a refund. The level of rudeness that came from her was on another level. Not 1 apology, not 1 suggestion of how the problems could be fixed just an irate response saying she will keep the full weeks rent and then put the phone down. Do not under any circumstances book this property. G

Lovely accommodation
The cottage is well situated with the beautiful village of Chiddingfold near by. The property is well maintained with a large garden and fields, ideal if you take your pet with you. Very quiet and peaceful. If you wish to cook or bake the kitchen is very well equipped. There is a washing machine and dish washer if needed, also a large selection of books and games. Plenty of crockery and glasses, every thing that you may need for an enjoyable holiday.

TESTIMONIALS

"Absolutely brilliant"

It is a beautiful place in a beautiful location. Really quirky with bedroom in the eaves. Beautifully presented very well equiped and such fun for the young children big tractors passing in the nearby field with a lovely big garden.
It was truly perfect
We are hoping we can book it again this June

"FANTASTIC RURAL LOCATION. TERRACE AND OUTDOORS WITH LOVELY VIEWS"

We arrived from South Africa tired, and moved into this quirky, but very contemporary open-plan space. Everything was white and clean, with all mod cons.

The kids love the flatscreen TVs in every room, and the open-plan, split level kitchen, breakfast and sitting room spanning oak doors to the terrace was wonderful.

When we arrived it was very welcoming, warm and ordered. The cream sheets on the bed in the master bedroom, crisp and lovely. There are two fridges, and two freezers which was very helpful, and all the food mixers and pots and pans you could possibly need.

A very very enjoyable stay, and the owner couldn't have been more helpful.

Thanks very much for our first three weeks back in the UK, before we moved into our own home.
