About Autumn Ridge Vacation Rentals

Autumn Ridge Vacation Cabin Rentals delivers on the decades-old Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN promise of a warm, cozy, and genuine, Smoky Mountain cabin experience for our guests. Our cabins are all about…. well, we will let you discover that shortly…. just keep reading.

Autumn Ridge Vacation Cabin Rentals is unique in the sense that is has 5 cabins situated on 7.8 acres, so that you as a visitor can experience the mountains in a tranquil private setting as the first visitors had.

Our as-advertised hand crafted cabins are exactly that! Each 1950′s inspired cabin was built by family members for the purpose of preserving our Appalachian Smoky Mountain culture and to provide a legacy for their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to come. In fact, three of our cabins bear the names of grandchildren! Grandpa Bill not only made the front doors for each cabin but all of the kitchen cabinets, too! Each board was hand-picked, each joint expertly crafted, and each nail or screw strategically placed, just so you, our guest, would feel special each time you visited.

In each cabin you will find a vintage photograph of our original family members, Sallie and Obie Greene, who settled here in the Great Smoky Mountains in the 1880′s. We hope you will take the time to notice their expression of joy and true love as they stare at each other, oblivious to the camera and the outside world. We are proud to say this legacy of love has certainly been passed down through the last four (so far!) generations.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a "Great" time here once again. This was our 7th time staying at Autumn Ridge. We enjoyed grilling, the hot tub and relaxing on the back porch. We spend all day Saturday in Pigeon Forge at the "Grand Fall Rod Run". Walked from one end of town to the other looking at all the cars. We love coming here this time of year. Once again thanks for making us feel at home!

Overall a nice place

  • 4 of 5

Would have given 5 stars if the bed were comfortable. We woke up with very sore backs. The view was very nice and the cabin was clean and had everything you needed (towels, linens, tp, paper towels, dish detergent, cooking equipment, and even a washer and dryer.) Very cosy place and secluded. The hot tub was great for relaxing.

Not as good as I was hoping for.

  • 2 of 5

I'll start off with the good stuff. CJ's cabin is super cute with lots of charm, and was nice and clean when we arrived, which is always appreciated! I read somewhere that the GPS would not work to get you there, but we tried it anyway and ours worked just fine. It did say we reached the destination before we got to the actual cabin, but it got us to the road we needed to be on, and we were able to just follow signs from there. I also really appreciated the rope lights to help light the way a bit, as well as the partially paved roadway. Oh, and the view is pretty great..I'm sure it would be even more fantastic come Autumn.

Here are the problems my husband and I encountered. I was super duper excited to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the evenings with a little massage, but the jets in it were pretty weak, and some of them weren't even working...the light in it also was non-operational. Additionally, a stool for us short folks to get in and out would be nice. Same kind of problem with the jacuzzi tub, out of about 6 jets, only 2 of them had good pressure. Oh, also..this isn't a huge deal, but just for future occupants, be aware that it will take a good 15-20 minutes for the jacuzzi to fill up to just above the jet outlets. There is plenty of hot water though!

The biggest problem though was the bed. I like a firm bed, but the bed in this place is HARD. I had trouble sleeping the first night because of it, and as a stomach sleeper I woke up with sore ribs. I ended up sleeping on the couch the last 2 nights..which was a bummer since we were there for our anniversary. If there was anything that would keep me from returning to CJs, it would be the bed for sure.

Great Spring Break

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin. The drive wasn't bad and the cabin is centrally located between Pigeon Ford and Gatlinburg. The cabin is nicely furnished and the bed is very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The deck has a nice vista and hot tub. We hope to stay again soon.

Beautiful views, a great cabin, NIce & cozy

  • 5 of 5

Just the get-away location we were looking for. The cabin is cozy, but very spacious for two people. Indoor AND outdoor hot tubs for any weather ! Takes just a little bit of effort to drive to and its far enough out of town that you should plan and bring what you need for an extended stay. Highly recommend.
