About this property

Stylish, Comfortable Apartment near Freshwater Bay. Pet Friendly. Private Garden

The apartment is private and secluded with it's own garden and space to relax. It is ideal for a couple or small family who enjoy the unique combination of seaside, countryside and outdoor life. The beach at Freshwater Bay is only a short walk (5-8 mins) and there are many walking and cycling routes close by.

Freshwater is a great holiday location if you enjoy the outdoor life. With one coast facing the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean and the other facing the Solent and Mainland England the West Wight has a very different atmosphere to the busier eastern side of the Island.
Local landmarks include Freshwater Bay, The Needles, Tennyson Down, Fort Victoria, Alum Bay Cliffs and Yarmouth Castle but there are other places like Newtown Creek - an unspoilt haven for wildlife, Hannover Point with it's dinosaur footprints on the rocks, the ancient standing stones at Mottistone and Hulverstone and beaches ranging from safe and sandy to wild and rocky!

The West Wight is well known for its numerous footpaths and bridleways with an annual Walking Festival every spring and Cycling Festival in the Autumn. From the Studio Apartment the cliff tops are only minutes away with walks over Tennyson Down to the Needles or along the River Yar to Yarmouth.

The accommodation:

The lounge looks out on to the garden and has a television with Freeview channels. There is a double sofa, dining table and well stocked bookcase.
The bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables, dresser, etc. Duvets, pillows and spare blankets are provided.
Bathroom with shower.
Small kitchen with hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster.
Garden with BBQ, patio, table and chairs. You can also pick your own herbs in the garden and it is dog friendly and secure.
The apartment has central heating throughout.
We also recycle and follow green guidelines.

There is also a larger lawn next to the car park at the main entrance and easy access to footpaths and cycle tracks.

In the current climate with COVID 19 we have taken a range of cleaning and sanitising measures to prevent any cross infection and ensure you have a safe holiday.

I have lived on the Island for over 30 years - never too far from Freshwater Bay. I have always enjoyed the outdoor life. In the summer we swim, kayak and fish for mackerel, the spring and autumn can be great for surfing - the Bay is one of the Island's best surf breaks - and in winter the storms can be spectacular.

Why they chose this property

The Bay area is a beautiful part of the world with a lovely rural feel but the wild south-west facing coast on our doorstep.

What makes this property unique

With one coast facing the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean and the other facing the Solent and the mainland the West Wight has a very different atmosphere to the busier eastern side of the Island.
