A retreat in the heart of the Meribel valley. It is a peaceful location and is a perfect retreat to get away from it all whether you wish to ski or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Only a 5 mins walk to restaurants and bars. Courtesy buses run all day to midnight to 3 Meribel villages and ski resorts. Ski lift 7 mins walk. Bedlinen, towels & end of week clean included. Very comfortable and pretty well as described.
Good well equipped. Minor difficulty in seeing the cooker controls after dark. Mysterious 'please do not touch switch' was somewhat worrying particularly with children going up and down stairs right next to it, Otherwise we were very happy and would come again. Did not try the sauna so cannot comment.

Good location with car
The house is clean and warm. Need walk to gondola and we had a car to move ski and boots to the free parking lot so it’s not a problem. Host were responding my msg. I asked wifi and kitchen sink issue both were quickly resolved.

Nice Stay in Comfortable Chalet
We are a family of 5 that stayed in the chalet for a week of skiing. We very much enjoyed our stay. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: The house was immaculate when we arrived and generally as pictured in the photos. The house is about a 10 minute walk from the Meribus stop and a little further to the ski lift. It was convenient and helpful to have both options. There is a small grocery store close to the bus stop although it was worth stopping for a bigger shopping trip on the way as the owners recommended. The owners were accommodating about letting us in to the house a few hours early and we appreciated that. The Wifi at the house was strong and reliable. There were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and hot water for everyone. Cons: The lighting in the kitchen is uneven – there is great light right by the sink but almost no light in front of the oven or near the stove-top. We sometimes had to use the flashlight on our phones to see what the settings were. We thought it was very much not appropriate for the check-out guidelines to include instructions that we should strip the beds and put all linens and towels downstairs by the entrance to the house. We have never been asked to do this in any other property we’ve rented. The cost of the stay is supposed to include cleaning and I consider stripping the beds more than the normal “leave the place neat and take out the trash” instructions that are standard in vacation property rentals. Finally, our drivers had a hard time locating the house. They said the GPS instructions we had been given were not correct and we had not been provided a street address in advance. The drivers did find the place but hopefully this can be made easier for other guests in the future.

We enjoy the retreat of the mountains, summer or winter.

Why they chose this property

We bought the chalet to escape the summer heat of Dubai (50 degrees) and have beautiful weather and fresh air in the mountains in the Alps. We are also keen skiers and enjoy skiing and the cold. So a perfect contrast and exact match of what we needed. The air is fresh and your fitness levels improve so much by all the walks, cycling and skiing. The views are beautiful summer and winter. It is peaceful in the village but all you need is on your door step if you like the lively side of town...

What makes this property unique

The village is so friendly and their are restaurants close by and a few pubs.
It is peaceful and is a perfect retreat to get away from it all.
