Pelennor is a 2-bedroom apartment on the first floor of a converted Victorian town house. It is ideally located 5 minutes’ walk from beautiful Porthminster Beach and St Ives town with its delightful mix of shops, galleries, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Why not wake up to lovely views from the Juliet balcony across the rooftops to the Island and St Nicholas Chapel and the ocean beyond…then breakfast in the bright open plan bay window looking towards Carbis Bay.

We have re-furbished Pelennor to a very high standard, preserving the original corniced ceiling in the lounge/kitchen and added solid oak wood flooring. The two bathrooms comprise a contemporary ensuite and family bathroom with spacious corner shower and the added luxury of a free-standing bath. The bedrooms both have charming cream Victorian-style bedsteads and adjustable wall-mounted TVs. We're less than 10 minutes’ walk from bus and train stations; access by car could not be easier with space for two cars right outside. Ideal for two couples, a family of four, or a romantic break for 2. The property is not only within easy access of the beach and town but there is also the local tennis and golf clubs. St Ives Harbour Hotel offers full spa and leisure facilities.

A wonderful place to stay in St. Ives
The flat was in a great location, very well equipped, and spotlessly clean. A welcome package provided all the information we needed to ensure a smooth check-in/out and a relaxing stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to Pelennor.

A great place for two couples
We keep coming back, and have already booked for next year. The apartment is lovely, very comfortable, well equipped and maintained. Bedrooms aren’t big, but beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of space in the apartment as a whole. Kitchen is well equipped, lounge comfortable and it’s great to have parking for two good size cars on the drive. That’s a rarity in St Ives! It’s a short walk down into town, though anyone less able might find the roads quite steep. There can’t be many places in town that doesn’t apply to. We were fine - two active couples in our 60s and 70s. We didn’t make use of the body boards but it’s nice they were available!

The perfect place to stay in St Ives
We were very impressed with this property especially a well appointed kitchen which was perfect for self catering. A very spacious property in a quiet location over looking some nice views of St Ives. With excellent parking facilities allowing us to take the short walk to the town and beach. Absolutely perfect!
Wir hätten für unsere erste Reise nach St. Ives keine bessere Wohnung finden können... Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und hochwertig, der Platz für 4 Personen absolut ausreichend und der Ausblick vom Esstisch aufs Meer einfach wunderschön. Die Wege in die Stadt und zum Strand sind kurz (sogar Strandausrüstung wie Sonnenschirme sind verfügbar) und die Parkmöglichkeit direkt vorm Haus ist ein nicht zu unterschätzender Vorteil... Erwähnenswert sind auch die hervorragende Sauberkeit, die exzellente Kommunikation mit den Vermietern und die vorhandenen "Kleinigkeiten" wie Gewürze und Geschirrspültabs. Wir können diese hübsche Wohnung auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Thank you Paula and Mark for this lovely stay!

Hello, my name is Paula and my husband Mark and I started visiting St Ives in November 2008 and have returned every year since. St Ives and the Cornish coast have become very special to us and we decided to try and buy a little piece of it in Autumn 2012. We were delighted to take possession of Pelennor in February 2013 and spent the next six months carefully preparing it for our first guests.

Why they chose this property

Pelennor is part of Porthminster Terrace, which has so many advantages, not least its proximity to one of the most beautiful beaches in England. We love the character of the apartment with its high ceilings and fabulous views to the front and back and the fact that you can enjoy all the convenience of being in St Ives at the same time as being able to escape from the hustle and bustle when you want to.

What makes this property unique

One of the most obvious benefits is the view in both directions; towards the 'island' with the ancient St Nicholas Chapel perched on the hill top in one direction, and Carbis Bay and the distant horizon in the other. Our apartment is equipped and furnished to a very high standard, being brand-new in August 2013. Finally, to find a property in St Ives town with one parking space would have been a challenge - we have two!
