Stunning villa with stunning views!
This has been the most wonderful villa we ever had been to! What a magnificent place to be!! Everything was more than expected - breathtaking views, three terraces where it is hard to decide where to sit down and enjoy the surrounding nature, beautiful pool which is refreshing and fun, great living room and kitchen full with charming atmosphere and lots of good books, sleeping rooms are quaint, large and comfy. the location is remote, a beautiful short walk connects to the village with restaurants and shops. The island in general is also worth to visit and stay. Only problem: it is very hard to leave!

Totally spoiling!
We spent a fabulous week in this gorgeous villa with it’s rustic charm. The views over Skiathos and neighbouring islands are absolutely amazing. We have had wonderful views in other villas over the years but this one Surpasses them all! The owner was so helpful prior to our stay sending me photos of the steps inside the villa to ensure my elderly Mother would be able to manage. The car was all arranged for us and we were met at the port to be escorted to the villa! If you Enjoy walks/hiking there is amazing country side around the villa and Glossa is not out of reach on foot. The villa is very well equipped - there was nothing that we needed that wasn’t already available to us. I would highly recommend this villa for a quiet holiday away from it all! Thank you!

Beautiful villa with breathtaking views
Villa Petaloutha is beautiful and very comfortable. Antony was extremely helpful with advice on the travel and the housekeeper Eleni made us immediately feel very welcome. The drive up to the house is quite steep and winding but you are rewarded when you arrive at the house as the views are stunning with amazing sunsets. The house is beautifully furnished , the third bedroom has a separate external access from the main house and at a lower level via stairs , while the two bedrooms within in the main house are lovely and spacious with access to various roof terraces. There are also lovely terraces around the pool which all enjoy the great views. Glossa is very pretty , quite quiet in July but I imagine it gets busier in August , there was a wonderful traditional dance festival while we were there. We enjoyed lots of the local restaurants on the evening and the lovely coastal walk to the bakers in Glossa in the morning. A truly wonderful villa in a very magical location

I'm a documentary film-maker, and if you click on my website (please ask for details) that will tell you all about my work.

Why they chose this property

From 1974 I spent every holiday, exploring the Greek islands until, in 1980, I discovered Skopelos -- its friendly people, its beautiful forests and woodlands, its fabulous views and beaches. I explored the whole island, until, late one afternoon, I spotted a hill, climbed to the top, and experienced a breath-taking view right across the Aegean at sunset. I knew at once that this was it, and over the next two years, got to know the lovely family who owned this land. Finally, they told me they would like me to have it, "because we know you would bring love to the land." When I awkwardly asked about the price, they simply said: "Ask around, and once you a clear in your mind about the fair price, that's the price we'll sell it at." Such is the quality of this island and its people.

What makes this property unique

That wonderful view is the most important feature of this house, which is also very quiet and private. Nobody overlooks you -- the nearest house in view is about half a mile away. And yet it's only a 20 minute walk along the coast (or a 10 minute drive on the tarred road) to the village of Glossa, with two excellent restaurants, a bakery, a butcher and 3 "supermarkets" with virtually everything you might need. As well as our pool, there are two lovely beaches approx two miles from the house, and in early and late season, you can often have one of those to yourself. In this setting, we believe we have created a real home, a place that doesn't feel like a "holiday let". It has two double bedrooms, each with their own bath or shower rooms and a huge living room with views on every side.
