Casa Joseph is situated in a typical Andalusian rural hillside location away from the hustle and bustle with stunning uninterrupted mountain views, surrounded by olive & almond groves. A recently built spacious airy two storey house with private pool, air conditioning throughout and fully equipped with everything you should need for your holiday with mains water & electricity. 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5. The local village is Comares where you will find all the necessary amenities, bank/supermarket/pharmacy/bars, 5-10 minutes drive. The town of Benarmagosa is a 15-20 minutes drive & Velez Malaga is a 40 minute drive away where you will find everything you will need, it has a large out of town shopping centre. A further 5 minute drive is the seaside resort of Torre Del Mar where there are lovely sandy beaches and plenty of seaside amenities. The house is a bird watchers paradise & there are countless miles of rural tracks for walkers & mountain bikers. Because Casa Joseph is accessed via a series of steps and is on two levels it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Approx 1 hour drive from Malaga Airport. Car essential,

House with a great view in the middle of the Axarquia region close to Málaga
We stayed for one and a half weeks in Casa Joseph. Everything was exactly as provided in the description and even better. Particularly the great view and the calm atmosphere can not be conveyed via the pictures. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and in all the details we felt that the owners really take care of it. The communication and administrative issues were uncomplicated. A very detailed description on how to find the house was very helpful. We would certainly recommend it and regret already that we didn't spent more time there.

A great escape
Lovely villa, amazing views. We spent most of our time on the balconies, or in the pool, looking down the valley and across to the mountains in the distance. Spacious and well equipped, had everything we needed to eat in, and only a 10 minute drive to Comares which we were very impressed with - a very picturesque little town, with a nice little supermarket, friendly locals, and a couple of restaurants. A great place to escape to and have a relaxing break.

Voor de rustzoeker.
Fantastisch huisje, alles is aanwezig voor een leuke vakantie. Grote troef is het prachtige uitzicht. Nadeel is de weg er naar toe, zeker na een fikse regenbui. Nadeel weegt echter niet op tegenover de voordelen.

Casa Joseph is our family holiday home we completed the build 16 years ago and now holiday there every year. We love it, so we decided to share it ! We live and work in Surrey where Dave is a Vineyard manager and Sarah spends her days working as a gardener and full time mum to Joe. We try to get out to Spain at least once a year and sometimes twice. Our family and friends also love it. Named after our son Joe who can't get enough of sunny Spain and the pool. We fell in love with the area and bought a plot of land on a beautiful sunny hillside and threw ourselves into building a little holiday retreat away from the hustle and bustle of living in the UK and never looked back. Now we would like to share our little bit of paradise with you, we think you will love it too.

Why they chose this property

Where do I start ? Registered and inspected by the tourist board, Peace and tranquillity, a place remote from so much of the noise and frantic pace of modern living. A place to recharge your batteries. Unwind, relax and forget about your hectic life back home. A warm sunny climate with panoramic views that you can never get enough of. We have resisted the temptation of Sky TV but we do have wi-fi internet access. The night sky is out evening entertainment, spotting shooting stars, listening to the Nightingale singing in the bushes below or relaxing in the pool with a glass of wine. If you really can't do without your TV fix you can always pop on a DVD or listen to a CD.
Whether you are a sun lounger or a birdwatcher this is heaven.

What makes this property unique

There are many unique benefits. The views are spectacular to say the least. The house is very private and not overlooked. It was designed to be simple and practical, sleeping on the lower floor where it is cooler at night, living on the upper floor to gain the best of the views and the sun in the day. Designed in such a way that from dawn to dusk you will have the choice of being in the sun or if you prefer in the shade, we know that not everybody wants to spend all day in the sun. The pool is child friendly, it is 4' deep all round, great for play and splashing about.
