Snug and inviting, Calder Cottage is a quintessential country abode with plenty of nooks and countryside views. Perfect for couples and families with small children, Calder’s double bedroom and twin room can accommodate up to four guests. It is also our only cottage that is now dog friendly for an additional fee of £15 per dog (maximum 2 dogs per stay).
The modern bathroom has a full sized bath and overhead shower while the large kitchen and dining area is equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
The quiet and comfy lounge offers up views of the large garden, which can be accessed through double doors. In warmer months, the private patio and dining area can be used for enjoying an evening meal, afternoon drinks or just relaxing with a good book in the sunshine.
There’s something for everyone in the surrounding area. From horse riding on heather-clad hillsides, to wild winding climbs, and tempting trails for cyclists of all abilities - both on and off-road. Dean Clough reservoir and the beautiful nearby pine forests are practically on our doorstep. Pendle Hill, Stonyhurst, Marles Wood to Dinckley Bridge, Longridge Fell, Three Rivers, Dunsop Bridge and The Tolkien Trail are a just few of the many walks nearby.
For days out by car, The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the seaside are all less than an hour away.
We are perfectly situated for guests coming further afield as we’re close to Junction 31 of the M6 with very good transport links.
