About this property

Traditional Cotswold Stone Cottage, Winchcombe, Cotswolds Way.

No 5 is a cosy traditional cottage in an unrivalled position in the traditional Cotswold town of Winchcombe, decorated and furnished to a high standard so you can enjoy all the comforts of home, all within just a stone’s throw from all the local amenities.
Centrally located in the heart of Winchcombe. Vineyard Street is one of the most beautiful streets in the Cotswolds and leads to the drive of Sudeley Castle. Quite literally the infamous Cotswold Way passes the front door, along with many other easily accessible national trails. We are a perfect location for walking, cycling or simply relaxing as hard as you want to!
The town is a fabulous place to enjoy a romantic break or time exploring the area with friends or family. There are many great places to eat and many lovely food shops and a deli to purchase local produce and cook up a feast to enjoy back at the cottage in the lovely garden or cosied up in front of the fire.
The owners are local and are very happy to be on hand to recommend local walks, cycle routes or places to visit and eat.
The cottage has a secure rear garden, very suitable for dogs. Equipped with garden table and chairs, sun loungers and a BBQ.
There are plenty of walks right from the doorstep. The local pubs are all very dog welcoming ...

Best village stay in the Cotwolds
Clean, meeting all of our needs and wants, this lovely quaint old cottage has been nicely renovated. Bonus of two bedrooms and a small sunroom were nice. Emma was a lovely host meeting us and explaining the workings of the cottage. The area is fantastic for walks (and pubs/coffee).

A great three week stay!
We just finished up a three weeks stY. Winchcomb, one of our favorite towns in the UK. The cottage is in a great location and is a quaint grade 2 listed property, making it comfortably rustic, but equipped with all the mod cons. A two minute walk and you are in the middle of town. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, fast internet, and smart TV. Parking was not a problem. In the three weeks we stayed we parked either directly out front or one or two spaces either side of the front door. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking on the nights we chose to eat at home. Plenty of pubs and good takeout for those nights you’d rather not cook. Emma was a great host, easy to work with, extremely communicative, and had loads of local advice. A great enclosed yard for our dog round it out our visit. If you are considering a stay in Winchcombe, I would put this place on your short list.

Adorable
Adorable little cottage nestled in the center of my favorite town of Winchecombe. Everything you could think of was there at our disposal. Our host was quick to reply to a question I had. Loved my 4 days there and would stay there again!

Cotswolds
Fantastic house. Emma was very easy to deal with, she communicated frequently beforehand and checked how we were going during our stay. The location was great for checking out other parts of the Cotswolds and the town of Winchcombe is amazing.

Hello, my husband Jim and I have lived in Winchcombe for since 2003 and we love the town, it has a great community spirit, very friendly, great pubs, restaurants, shops, deli, galleries and antique emporiums.
Jim is a really keen mountain biker (I dabble on the easier trails!) and we love walking our lovely pointer Tatti (short for Taitttinger!) and socialising with our friends. We love welcoming guests to the cottage and will be happily on hand for any advice required by our visitors. Any questions you have about the cottage and local area, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be delighted to help ... Emma and Jim

Why they chose this property

We already live in the town and wanted to buy and second property as a holiday let business... Vineyard St is one of the most beautiful Cotswolds Streets and leads to the gates of Sudeley Castle

What makes this property unique

Vineyard Street is an unrivaled position in our small town, you can park for free on the street in front of the cottage and then everything is in very easy walking distance. Winchcombe is a truly unique town, where visitors quickly feel like locals and get to enjoy a real part of life in a Cotswold town
