About this property

Lovely Holiday Cottage

A Victorian Brick and Flint Stable Block converted into a two bedroom luxury holiday cottage in the heart of the Meon Valley and within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been sympathetically converted and retain the high ceiling and wooden beams in the main living area. PLEASE NOTE WHEN WORKING OUT RATES - A 2 NIGHT STAY IS 50% of weekly rate - 3 N 60% -4N 70% . If the rates for two nights do not work out at this , please do get in touch and I will edit the rate. Always worth getting in touch re prices - the new way prices are worked out on VRBO make it tricky to get the 3 and 4 night breaks at the correct price - so don't be put off - get in touch :) Please note we do only allow one dog - no cats!

A Wonderful Place
Thanks to Victoria for being such a wonderful hostess. The brownies, farm fresh eggs and butter were a real treat. The kids and I enjoyed meeting the lovely horses and foal as well. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We hope to come again soon. All the best, from Canada.

Wonderful Stay
We had a lovely time in a beautiful area and lovely quiet converted stables. The Gluten free welcome pack including GF brownies was gorgeous. Thank you Victoria. X

Lovely farm cottage in West Meon
A lovely 2 bedroomed cottage on a farm/beside farm buildings. The property was just 1 mile from West Meon … within walking distance, with a pavement most of the way. The kitchen was well equipped - and also had a dishwasher and washing machine. Comms with Victoria were excellent and finding the property was straight forward. Overall - it is a great location if you want to walk the Meon Valley trail

West meon stay
stayed for the weekend, in Hampshire celebrating my dads 80th. The cottage is very well equipped and an ideal home away from home. The owner is very helpful. Cannot fault our stay

Westbury Manor Stables are owned by Simon and Victoria Cobden. They live a couple of hundred yards from the Stables so are available to answer any queries you may have whilst you are on holiday. Simon is a farmer whilst Victoria helps on the farm and looks after their two children and The Stables

Why they chose this property

Westbury Manor Farm was bought by Mr and Mrs Cobden snr in 1973 and the family have lived there ever since. The Stables are owned by their eldest son Simon and his wife Victoria - they were converted from stables to a lovely holiday cottage in 2012. It is lovely to live on a farm in a rural setting but also have all the amenities you could possibly need just a few miles away.

What makes this property unique

The Stables are on the edge of a working farm and whilst guests must be aware farms can be dangerous places due to tractors and machinery, there is the opportunity to see newborn lambs and calves at certain times of the year. Lovely walking area within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been converted to a great standard but retain the character of the Victorian building
