A farmhouse full of character and intriguing history. Downstairs there are high ceilings and some impressive 16th century carved beams, as well as a Tudor fireplace upstairs, suggesting this was once part of a much grander building of high status. It has been recently renovated to provide a comfortable home, whilst retaining a farmyard feel. We keep our own hens and if they are laying you will be welcomed with some of their tasty eggs. It has the benefit of being right in the village, yet with lots of space and a short walk to the beach or stunning countryside. There are two pubs, a post office and store in the village.

Had a great stay.House full of character.Plenty of room for 8 of us. Tranquil location.Friendly people. A nice touch was our hosts provided fresh eggs from their own chickens and lovely bottle of wine to welcome us at the start of our holiday. Very close to Westbay which is worth a visit. It has a pretty little harbour and beach. Ideal base to explore this part of Dorset.
Amazing location in a beautiful house. We walked to the beach everyday and the village was charming. The hosts couldn’t have been more pleasant. We hope to visit again soon
Immaculate wonderful property and hosts.
Kids did not want to leave and wanted to move in. Worked really well for our extended family and down stairs bedroom was perfect for mum.
Perfect location from which to explore. Highly recommend. We will be back. Thank you Shadrack Dairy Farm for some wonderful Easter memories
Centrally placed for exploring the area, with plenty of space for everyone and the dog. Great pub over the road serving beautiful food. Thanks for a great stay.

Why they chose this property
The owners have had a cottage in Burton Bradstock for the last 10 years. They bought Shadrack Dairy Farm in April 2011. It had been empty for over 12 years and became a labour of love to return it to its former glory and restore its place in the village.
