The Whaler Resort one of the most prestigious resorts located directly on Kaanapali Beach. Our oceanview studio has 1 (one) full bathroom and is located on the 7th floor and features a beautiful view of the ocean. Our unit features a king size bed, fully applianced kitchen with ample utensils, full bath, spacious living room, dining area, central ac and ceiling fans for your added comfort. We have cable TV, DVD/CD player and we have INTERNET ACCESS! Our rate is set at an extremely good value, so we encourage to compare our rates with the front desk. Our unit is a studio is best suited for two people. Daily maid service is not included in our rate, however if you wish this service it is available to you at an additional cost. We also offer a very personalized grocery deliver service! Once you've confirmed your accommodations we can provide you with a grocery list that you simply fill out and return and we arrange to have the groceries delivers and stocked in our unit prior to your arrival. This service is wonderful especially if you plan on arriving late in the day. How great is that! We also have a island activity representative who can assist you in planning your island activities even before you arrive to the island.We hope you will visit soon and often! Aloha!

You're sure to enjoy the great proximity to Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village which is directly next door. The village is Maui's largest outdoor shopping mall and entertainment center. You'll find a myriad of some of the finest restaurants Maui has to offer along with great boutique shopping and evening entertainment. Lahaina Towne is only a short 10 minute ride into town. If you're inclined to play golf you also have two excellent 18 hole golf courses right in your back yard in addition The Whaler features a very nice tennis facility on property.

You'll find most of the water sport activities are also available directly from Kaanapali Beach which makes it so convenient and hard to resist the sunset catamaran trips or even perhaps the exciting Parasail adventures! Or just stroll down the boardwalk and enjoy the fabulous views and tropical gardens all around you.

Had to move to another unit due to discovery of bed bugs

Checked into this unit, but did not stay long due to our discovery of what appeared to be bed bugs. We killed one in a tissue and quickly headed out to buy spray, which we doused the bed/ bed area in as we had just unpacked all of our things. I commend the property manager for quickly getting us into another unit in the Whaler that same night. We ended up feeling comfortable there for our 8 night stay. However surprised there was no follow up with us after that, given the severity of the issue. The complex is great and in an ideal location. My concern would be the cleanliness for units not managed by the Whaler themselves. For this reason can’t say I would recommend

Owner's Response: Having interviewed all the parties involved in your recent experience we learned from both the Whaler management and our Maui Beachfront Rentals Management that EcoLab who serviced the unit after your departure determined they could find no bedbugs or insects at the time of their inspection. The island has been experiencing more than usual beetle-like pests that appear mostly after sunset. We suspect that this is what you most likely encountered. These are quite typical in tropical locations and in no way indicate substandard cleaning. We encourage our guests to keep the screens closed especially after sunset. MBR also takes extra measures and ensures that all bedding (mattress, box springs, sofa mattresses) are enclosed with bed bug protectors. As you may recall you did indeed receive 2 separate follow up communications from our office manager after you were relocated to an upgraded full one bedroom ocean view unit to be sure you were comfortable. We are unaware of any severe issues that you implied that would have required any additional communications with you during the remainder of your stay.

good location but out dated and scary bathroom

The property is in a good location. The kitchen is outdated and many things broken-drawer, counter top..I can put up with an outdated kitchen. But broken things should have been fixed. The worst part is the bathroom. Did anyone look up on the bathroom ceiling. There are so many fussy things (asbestos?, mold? ..)growing in it. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. I can send you a pictures if you want! Dirty bathroom is not acceptable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback, Regine. We also always look for what we're doing right, and where we can improve. We can assure you there is no dangerous mold in this unit, or asbestos. We have since your review, gone into the unit, and made sure there were no signs of mold, and this is the first time we've heard of anyone encountering this in our unit. The ceiling tiles can tend to get dirty, but we do have a note to our cleaning staff to concentrate on keeping up on it. We feel our pictures are very current, and display our condo appropriately, but we will take your recommendation for doing some updating into account. Thanks for staying with us. Maybe we can get you back for a better experience. Mahalo!

Thanks Maui Beachfront for taking such good care of us on our recent trip to Maui. Booking, checking in and out, and even answering a few dumb tourist questions, you guys were great (and helpful). The condo was nice, clean, and kept, exactly what we'd hoped for. This resort's location is prime. While we lounged most of our stay, it was nice to have some many options for fun surrounding us.

You're doing it right

My better half and I came to Maui for a little winter vacation and stayed here. Condo was superb in its condition and offerings. Location was perfect. The Rental company was very easy to deal with. Some nice views and sites to see very close to the resort, and the golfing at the nearby course was sublime. Wish we didn't have to come back so soon.

Very happy and satisfied guests!

This condo worked just magnificently for us. We came for our honeymoon, wishing to stay somewhere relaxing and romantic with maybe some touristy things to do nearby. Check, check, and check. This condo was clean and professionally looked after, quiet, and stocked with the amenities we needed. As much as we liked the condo, the location was as almost awesome. There is much to do within easy walking distance of the resort. Multiple restaurant options, shops, golfing, jet skiing, luaus, all very close and all very fun. The nearby beaches are some of the best we've ever laid out on. Soft sand, gentle waves, plenty of room to lay out without having folks right next to you or stomping through. This place was absolutely ideal for us and I would highly recommend.

March 2015 vacation

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your Maui condominium. I would advise other travellers that this is comfortable accommodation but somewhat tired and dated; not a problem unless you are seeking a more "upscale" unit. The suite was clean and very functional and we found the shady lanai a convenient respite from the sun and heat. My only suggestion to the owners is that the bathroom ceiling tiles over the shower are desperately in need of cleaning! Otherwise this is a great value unit!
