***COVID-19 UPDATE***
The property will be thoroughly cleaned by our team of 3 cleaners before your arrival.
All surfaces and contact points (door handles etc) will have been disinfected.
Note: the South West of France saw less cases of COVID-19 than the eastern side of the country.
Come and enjoy the open spaces and get away from the crowds at the coast.

There is a substantial Intermarche Supermarket on the near outskirts of Moissac, where you can buy everything you would want, but do not fail to visit the pretty market square of Moissac and its VII Century Abbey and Cloisters.

In the town there are several good restaurants and an excellent Cave (Wine Shop), if you wish to buy some superior wines. The local wine of Fronton or Gaillac is excellent, can be bought in draft at the Cave. Try chilling the red in the fridge in hot weather- more refreshing! A local white you will enjoy from Pau is Juracon Sec, Juracon Doux- excellent with Foie Gras -a local speciality.

There is a market somewhere everyday of the week within easy distance of the house. Details are in the house.

The wild life is extensive and there are many walks from the house through the forests and fields to be enjoyed.

Down at Moissac and the surrounding area you can enjoy walks along the Canal de Garonne/ Canal du Midi and the rivers Tarn and Garonne. If waterskiing on the Tarn is not for you, there is a watersports centre at St Nicholas de La Grave (15k).

Further afield is the Gorges D'Averyon at St Antonin de Noble Val (great for canoeing), and the Lot Valley. The area is peppered with fortified Bastide Towns, a hangover from the Cathars and the 12 Century. A long, but memorable day trip is to the Millau Viaduct.

There is an animal park in the Dordogne near to Rocamadour, which in itself very spectacular.

If you want to go to the Pyrennes/Lourdes via the Gers region it is about three hours through spectacular countryside, full of sunflowers, and fascinating towns of Nerac and Condom, both in the Bas Armangnac region!

Wonderful stay, heating swimmingpool is very nice! Good communication with host. Reservation by restaurants around is necessary. Activities around the place are most of the time 1 hour away.

Summer vacay ‘22
We had a wonderful vacation at Pech de Jordy! Bill is a 5* host and it kinda felt like home from the first moment. The breathtaking views, the outside kitchen and pool brought us the peace we were looking for. The rooms were upgraded with airconditioning for a good nights rest. Some area’s do need a little bit more of TLC but I’m sure that in time every room will get his extra touch.Memories are made & friendships got stronger. Batteries are recharged and that was our main purpose.Thank you Bill for your hospitality, we’re really grateful!

About the host

Host profile image
Have been living in the area since 2000, the house was bought as a holiday home by my parents.
I work as air crew in London, commuting on a weekly basis between London and Toulouse.
My wife, Annie, is local to the area, she is on the town council and is also one of the local postwomen.
We live 5 minutes from the house and are on hand to help out if there are any questions.

Why they chose this property

It was modernised to suit my parents' requirements, so it is well equipped and very comfortable.

What makes this property unique

The privacy of the heated swimming pool and the outside fully equipped kitchen, dining area and pool house, make this a very special place to spend a relaxing holiday, yet still have plenty of outside attractions in all directions for those who wish to explore.
