About this property

# 7 Isle View- West-facing lake view, sunsets, fishing, kayaking, beach, golf!

Located on the west shore of Alburgh just north of North Hero, facing Isle LaMotte. This gorgeous 45-acre site was once a farm that rented summer cottages since the early 1950's. Over the decades, the cottages have been rebuilt and recently totally upgraded for today's guests. Many of our guests comment on how much they enjoy the peace and quiet they find here. We agree, and that's why we choose to live on the site during the rental season!

Highlights:
- Pet-friendly, with permission
- Living room with six large windows with
beautiful view of Lake Champlain
- Two shared grill stations; each includes a gas
grill and picnic table
- Dishwasher and in-cottage washer/dryer
- Flat screen TV, Wi-Fi
- Linens and towels provided
- Professionally cleaned
- Front deck, with table and chairs, plus
Adirondack chairs, overlooks the beautiful lake
- Great sunsets, sunrises, moonrises, and
night skies
- Shared private beachfront with lounge chairs
- Kayaking (kayaks are kept on the beach,
paddles and lifejackets available)
- Dock for swimming and fishing
- Boat mooring ball available upon request (no
tying up boats to dock)
- Great birdwatching (osprey, eagles, herons,
hawks, loons)
- Open grass meadows (still being hayed), to the east with mowed walking trails
- Alburgh Dunes State Park is just one mile down the road., and is a great place for a beach day.
- Great home base for fun day trips to Montreal (60-70 min; bring your passport) and Burlington (55 min.)!

We provide a list of places to go and things to do with your reservation, including our favorite restaurants.

We have one security camera on the cottage next door, that is always on, and monitors the area of the entrance to the cottage.

Perfect getaway.
Very nice place with top of the line kitchen equipment. Nice walking path right on property which abuts State Park. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. I might come back with my extended family.

Ideas for 5star rating
Cute cottage that could use a little up-grade. The furniture was outdoor living style, it’s nice for the sunroom but the “living room needs a comfortable couch and chair. The dining table could be a bit more substantial. And the AC unit in the master bedroom was noisy. Ideas for shade on the deck…a well placed tree could do wonders! All in all we enjoyed our stay!

Lake living
This is a lovely place to spend time. The cottage faces the lake and the sunsets are amazing. It is quiet and peaceful, and there is easy access to the State Park at the end of the street. The cottage is well equipped and the owner is responsive and helpful. We plan to return, just thinking about the peace and quiet will help us get through the rest of the summer.

Dave and Lucy live in Burlington, Vermont, where Dave grew up, and where both graduated from UVM. They have two grown children, Emily and Max, who live out-of-state.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a cottage with lake frontage. We saw the cottage, recognized its potential to become a lovely and inviting home, and turned it into one! We love the addition of the sunroom on the front of the cottage, and the open feeling we were able to create in the cottage because of it.

What makes this property unique

Dave and Lucy love the openness of the land in Alburgh. It allows you to fully appreciate what the sky has to offer: amazing cloud formations; storms approaching over the lake; breath-taking sunrises and sunsets, moonrises and moonsets; full rainbows and double rainbows; birds such as osprey, gulls, and an occasional bald eagle. We love it all, and it is constantly changing and surprising us!
