About this property

JAY'S NEST, family friendly in Eyam

This apartment set over the first and second floors is in the village of Eyam near to Bakewell and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Jay's Nest is a lovely first and second floor apartment situated in the village of Eyam, just seven miles from Bakewell in the Peak District National Park. The apartment sleeps four people in one double bedroom with en-suite and one twin bedroom, together with family bathroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for one car. Jay's Nest is in a delightful location to explore this lovely part of the country, with plenty to see and do within reach.

Amenities: Electric heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Smart TV with FreeSat, Blu-ray, WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk.

Region: The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Town: Eyam is one of the best-preserved villages in the Peak District National Park, nestled at the foot of Sir William Hill, 800ft above sea level and is surrounded by the most glorious countryside. Historically the village is known as the famous 'plague village', as it went into voluntary quarantine when the plague was imported from London in 1665 and thus prevented the spread of the disease. There are many fine old houses in Eyam, and parts of the village have been kept as they looked several centuries ago, such as Eyam Hall (National Trust), a beautiful 17th century manor house with delightful gardens, craft shops and tea rooms.

A modern apartment on 1st and 2nd floor. The Peak District is your garden ! Great location for exploring. Pubs locally serve good food and ale. Accommodation is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Would have liked a bit more hot water for a soak in the bath otherwise fine for the 2 of us.

Warm and cosy flat in peaceful Eyam
Really great stay, well equipped flat, super clean. Everything we needed for our stay was provided, right down to a great selection of classic films on DVD! Parking right outside, pub and village shop within five minutes walk. Well recommended.
