Rathosey Cottage is a rustic secluded traditional Irish stone cottage over 200 years old, located in the foothills of the Ox Mountains. The Cottage is beside an ancient trackway origionally giving access to Osey’s Rath (fort). There are three renovated Cottages in the tiny clochan(traditional Irish village) two of which we let for holiday use. Otherwise the cottage is surrounded by trees, stone walls and several acres for wildlife, including Deer, red squirrels, fox’s, pheasants etc.
Our little traditional cottage has been renovated so as to preserve its original features such as exposed beams and stone walls. It is a perfect place to get away from it all, to return to a more relaxed down-to-earth way of living (but with all mod cons!) and an open fire , for that extra bit of cosy!
Rathosey Cottage has three bedrooms and one bathroom, living/dining room and open fire.
Located beside the lovely Village of Coolaney, at the end of a long private driveway, Rathosey Cottage is only 20 minutes drive to Sligo Town, shopping centre of the North-West & is the perfect location to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.
Please be aware that that our cottage has low doorways, steps and a slightly steep staircase, and it may not be suitable for someone with limited mobility.
