Charming Casa

  • 5 of 5

There is something magical about driving up winding Italian roads and turning into a mysterious drive. This is what you experience when you first enter the tree lined entrance of Casa Colina. And then there it is,this lovely pale yellow farmhouse oozing rustic character and charm. It's a welcoming house with lots of interesting nooks and crannies including a hayloft. The house has been decorated and furnished sympathetically yet with all the mod cons you need. The bedrooms are cool and spacious with such very comfortable beds. The modern shower rooms are a welcoming bonus. The grounds are stunning, with the swimming pool taking pride of place. To swim in this pool taking in the breathtaking views of surrounding hills must be one of the best things about our stay here.

The nearby towns are a short drive away and full of friendly bars and lovely restaurants. There are also many traditional local Casa's which offer wine tasting with platters of tasty food.

The owners of the property went out of their way to make our stay extremely pleasant. We had an amazing time at Casa Colina and can't wait to return.

A piece of Heaven

There is something magical about turning into the drive of Casa Colina. You go through a tree lined path and suddenly there it is, a rustic farmhouse full traditional Italian charm. The house is decorated and furnished sympathetically and is full of character, including a hayloft to the side. The bedrooms are spacious and cool and the beds so very comfortable. The modern shower rooms are a real bonus too. The grounds are superb with the swimming pool surrounded by breathtaking views of neighbouring hills. To swim in this lovely pool is one of the best tonics in world.

That said there is plenty to do in the near by towns, from lovely restaurants to plenty of friendly Casa's offering wine tasting with platters of food. The people are so friendly here and the owners went out of their way to be helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to when we return again to this lovely Casa.

Simply Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

This fantastic farmhouse in Cissone has everything for a perfect stay coupled with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We could not have asked for more; very clean, well equipped both inside and out - including hammocks for the garden! The pool is large and well maintained and also has beautiful views - a very relaxing swim. The owners were very helpful with great suggestions on places to visit and restaurants to try. There are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from in the nearby towns of Dogliani, Bossolasco, Roddino, Serravalle & Monforte where we always received the warmest of welcomes. We are already looking forward to returning and would highly recommend - a great base for exploring the area.

Piemonte paradise

  • 5 of 5

We have recently spent a wonderful week at Casa Collina, a beautifully restored farmhouse in the Langhe area of Piemonte. The house is very well equipped with everything you need and the large swimming pool is lovely - there are even hammocks to relax in! The views from the house are stunning as it is set amongst the vineyards of the Langhe, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars to try nearby, as well as the beautiful hilltop towns of Barolo, Monforte D'Alba and Serralunga to visit and indulge in some serious wine

We are already planning our next visit.

The real Italy, a place to relax and enjoy life!

  • 5 of 5

If you want a beautiful place to relax in peace and quiet this is it! Set in the foothills in Piedmonte, this rural, restored farmhouse with lovely pool is the place to do it and is suitable for all ages. The picture above does not do justice to this clean, comfortable, well equipped and furnished farmhouse and pool. It has a lovely patio area, comfortable outdoor furniture, barbeque and outside evening mood lighting. As you lie by the pool you rarely hear a car, just the muted rural sounds of cockerels crowing, chickens, geese and the occasional dog barking across the valley, while watching kites hunting overhead. This area has few british tourists, always a plus for me, and the local people speak limited English, but cannot be more helpful or hospitable. Local produce in shops is fresh and wholesome if you want to self cater, but there are many small, unique restaurants in beautiful settings near by with stunning authentic food and a great welcome and service from the proprietors. Local bars often provide unasked delicious plates of food when you order a few drinks. You do need a car to get about as distances to the local town of Dogliani and the restaurants are to far to walk on winding unlit roads with no pathways. You can tell the owners spend time here and love it. The house gives the impression of a cherished holiday home. My idea of Paradise, and I look forward to my next visit.
