Fabulous place to stay!
We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The house is spacious and well equipped with delightful outside areas and superb views. Bill and Sarah-Jane could not have been more attentive to our needs but were not in the least intrusive. It was fabulous to have such a comprehensive welcome pack and the kitchen had everything we needed, including sharp kitchen knives (a rarity!). The beds were large and comfortable; the bathrooms were beautifully tiled with plenty of towels (& beach towels). Security was not an issue & the car was parked conveniently close to the house on the drive. The jacuzzi was excellent. Bill attended to it, and the pool, every day. There are plenty of loungers & places to find the sunshine (or shade). The sitting room is very comfortable and adjoins the kitchen, making for a very sociable area. We really enjoyed chatting to Bill and S-J, who have some interesting stories to tell. Plenty of English TV channels are available. The drive to the house is steep and narrow in places. But it is only 5 mins down the hill to Valle San Lorenzo, which has pretty much everything you need including a 'mid-size' supermarket. The town also has a few boutiques, nail bar, vegetable shop, pharmacy, cafes, etc. and some good traditional restaurants. A larger supermarket is located a short drive away at Cabo Blanco. We drove to golf at Las Americas and Adeje Golf (close to which there is a very good LIDL). We can highly recommend Casa de Limonero. Thank you!

Sarah-Jane and Bill went out of their way to help us have a fantastic time in Tenerife. The property is superbly maintained, with a beautiful outlook - and they’ve thought of everything when it comes to comfort and convenience. Absolutely Fabulous
Sarah-Jane and Bill were the perfect hosts. Loads of helpful tips and advice right from the booking stage which made the whole process a breeze. An idilic rural location, fantastic villa, great hosts, breakfast on the terrace under the palm tree was to die for. Relaxing by the pool in a lovely sheltered sun trap was a joy especially as it’s so private. It was exactly like the photographs, very well maintained and with everything you could wish for. Thanks again for a great holiday

About the host

Hosted by Bill and Sarah-Jane Bailey

Host profile image
An active retired couple, Bill and Sarah-Jane came to Tenerife initially in 1994 when Bill was flying helicopters in the Canaries until 1999. We bought a ruined finca in 1995 and have spent 17 years renovating and improving it. When Bill retired from flying at the end of summer 2010, we sold our home in Somerset and moved permanently to Tenerife, where we live in our converted barn adjacent to the main house. Don't worry, we're completely separate and share only the parking area on the top terrace!

Why they chose this property

We bought the house because, with the prospect of living permanently in the south of the island (Bill was operating from the South Airport), we wanted to be away from the rapidly developing coastal area with its associated noise, bustle and traffic. We were spectacularly fortunate to find this property almost by accident at about 11 o'clock at night! The quiet rural location, the unspoiled views, yet the proximity to both the airport, main tourist areas and local (non tourist prices) shopping, restaurants and bars overcame our trepidation at the work that would be involved in turning it into a comfortable home. It has been well worth the considerable effort.

What makes this property unique

Check in and check out times flexible between 08.00 am and 10.00 pm. For guests arriving after dark we can "meet and greet" at the airport if requested at no extra charge, lead them up to the house and introduce them to the facilities. We can organise walking, golfing, wind / kite surfing, cycling and motor cycling, paragliding, horse riding etc. An advance shopping list emailed to us by our guests will be supplied at cost.
The solar heated pool and sun lounging area, including 3 parasols and up to 6 sunbeds are in a secure area with lockable gates at both ends.
