The property is what you see well presented very clean plenty of space for family it has everything you need there are plenty of excellent restaurants in and around holmfirth plus pleasant walks right on the doorstep of property our family enjoy our stay at this property and would highly recommend it the host Andrew was very helpful recommending places to eat out thanks Andrew you have a lovely property really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful House for a family ,well situated in a pleasant area, nice walks down into the town where there was some lovely shops , plenty of places to go to eat like cafe, pub , fish shop just down the bottom of the road where we were staying,

Amazing property that is well appointed, well stocked and perfect for our birthday celebration as a family. The lounge is perfect the kids to relax, watch TV and play, plus the hot tub is an added bonus.

We had a fantastic stay at Stonewell which was planned as surprise for a family birthday. The balloons and Christmas decorations were a great surprise & the property did not disappoint - it was better than the pictures. An easy booking process followed by a great stay.

I live in England with my Husband, 2 children and my adorable King Charles Spaniel. I work from home which involves running the holiday home business,. We are both from the heart of Yorkshire so we are familiar with what the county has to offer in terms of hospitality and beautiful countryside.

Why they chose this property

Holmfirth is a beautiful part of Yorkshire, a hidden gem, the area boasts some of the most lovely scenery in the country and the walks and cycle paths are perfect for our family to get out and about with our dog.
My husband is also a keen runner so he is blessed with some of the most challenging off road paths and tracks to run along. We came here to bring our family up in what is an idyllic area for children to live in, we bought Oaklands in 2000 and lived in it happily for over 10 years and then had Stonewell House built in the garden of Oaklands, which we now also rent out as a holiday let.
Holmfirth is very rural but also is a very vibrant, bustling market town also where you can get everything you need without having to go to a big city.
Both our properties are located in avery quiet tranquil area of the Holme Valley so peace and quiet and rest is guaranteed if you were to stay here.

What makes this property unique

Stonewell is on the cusp of Holmfirth so it has the best of both worlds, close to the town centre ( 10 min walk) and also in a very private and quiet area with fantastic views of the Holme Valley.
It also has loads of communal space, ideal for parties and celebrations, or if families are staying with children, they can be entertained and play in there own areas leaving the adults to relax and enjoy a bit of well earned peace and quiet!
