‘Icarus Heights’ is a detached villa, with sea and mountain views, overlooking the fabulous Bay of Göcek. Just 25 mins from Dalaman airport through the new tunnel. Göcek is peaceful, friendly and unspoilt from mass tourism, and because it is a yachting harbour, it has all the facilities you could need, including craft, gift, jewellery, and provision shops, banks, and a Sunday market, plus a stylish range of harbour and village, bars, cafes and restaurants. The nearest town is Fethiye, which is a modern town with a historic centre, and just 30 mins drive, or every 30 minutes by dolmus from opposite the estate (approx 5.5TL on the Turkish bus).

The detached villa has its own pool and garden, it is exceptionally well appointed, attractively furnished, and all rooms are air conditioned, with WiFi available. It sleeps 6 people ( + small child) and has unique disabled facilities suitable for wheelchair users plus the option of use of a pool hoist
The bedrooms are over two floors.
The lower floor has one double room with en suite shower, one double or twin room with adjacent bath/shower room (with disabled facilities,) and one single bedroom with the same bathroom opposite.
The upper floor has one twin bedded room (can be made double) with level floor shower room opposite (disabled friendly).
There is a spacious lounge with 2 large sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed) a small dining table with stools and a fully equipped kitchen, and shaded dining terrace. There is Wi Fi, TV, Bluetooth speaker, CD, DVD and docking station available.
The villa is strictly non-smoking.
Linen, bathroom and beach towels are provided.

We also provide basic grocery requirements, and a helpful Turkish (English speaking) representative to start your holiday.

Gocek holiday
It was very good. The star of the show is Mehmet! He knows everybody and arranged our transfers, hire car and a fantastic boat trip. He made everything very easy. The villa itself is nicely set up, but being on a development there was some occasional noise from neighbours. Overall, we had a really nice time.

One of a kind!
Waking up to this picturesque peaceful scenery was truly breathtaking. Communication with owner Gill and her management Mehmet was swift. They went above and beyond our expectations. The villa was spacious and clean, we loved spending quality family time in the private pool and there was also the option to mingle with others in communal ones too. Walking distance to local supermarket or delivery via text. We had so much fun we did not even have time to watch tv. Finding that special somewhere for a disabled member of the family is always quite a challenge but Gill’s villa had it all. We shall return! Thank you so much.

Perfection
In addition to its spaciousness, nice location and usability, the villa has everything one may ever need. They really made sure all our needs were met. This is probably the best holiday rental I had in 10 years. Mehmet, the chap who manages the property, is such a great guy. Five star for everything :)

Fantastic holiday in Gocek
We have just had a great holiday in Gocek. The Villa is in a great location, only 20 minutes walk or a short taxi ride in to Gocek centre, which is an amazing holiday resort. Both Gill and her manager Mehmet were incredibly helpful. Overall a really enjoyable holiday.

Hello, to you all, our villa Icarus Heights, is owned by Gill and Ronnie. The family fell in love with the Turquoise coast 25 years ago and have the distinction within our family of being the first British couple to marry in nearby Kalkan, which was no mean feat in 1993!
Further regular visits discovered that other parts of the southwest coast of Turkey and in particular Gocek was even more beautiful. Our villa's name was inspired by local legends of the Göcek region.
We are now able to quietly share these delights with those who appreciate a beautiful, homely villa set in breath taking surroundings that is just a stones throw away from a quaint picturesque Turkish village, leading to mouth watering quayside restaurants and shops set in the backdrop of a spectacular marina.

Why they chose this property

We bought our villa in 2006 after falling in love with the view of the bay, and the panorama of mountain and forest. We find it an ideal place to be, just 25 minutes from Dalaman airport through the tunnel, but shielded by the mountains from the sight and sound of aircraft. The villa is a 20-minute leisurely and level stroll into the heart of the harbour village of Göcek, which we find has most of the day to day essentials that you need on offer, plus a dollop of shops designed for retail therapy should you so choose. Whilst being within easy reach of a fabulous coast of hidden beaches, islands, forests, lakes, mountains, and rivers, enabling you to explore the culture and history of the area. Göcek as you sit on our terrace is a unique place to be, with all it’s natural beauty around you.

What makes this property unique

We have made a conscious effort to furnish our villa as a family home rather than just a rental villa. The disabled facilities were planned by a disabled architect, including a pool with a hoist. We hope that we have added those missing comforts that we too, would expect when on holiday. For us, one of the definite pluses is that Göcek is only 20 km from the airport, the flight time from the UK being less than four hours. So within half an hour of arrival you will find yourself in beautiful surroundings, and you could be enjoying breathtaking views, glorious weather, and a swim in the pool, all in this tranquil corner of the Turquoise Coast of Turkey. Over the years we have made many friends in Göcek, including our friendly representative Mehmet, and his helpful family, who will ensure your comfort and welcome.
