Voted by the Sunday Times as ONE OF THE TEN BEST PLACES TO STAY ON LANZAROTE this renovated and fully modernised farmhouse in the rural village of Soo, near Famara and Teguise, has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a private FULLY heated pool, (by solar and also by heat pump). Car hire is essential. 'Casa Margarita' has been lovingly restored by John and Jacky Kennedy, who whilst adopting an overall traditional style have created a house where both antique and modern pieces compliment their surroundings. Every modern convenience is incorporated whilst maintaining warmth, rusticity and charm. Prices are competitive and NO high season premiums are charged. The house is both private and spacious, with completely appropriate accommodation for between two and six guests in three separate bedrooms (2 doubles and one twin or double).

We pride ourselves on the quality of both the villa and our service level, which has created an enviable situation where up to 70% of our guests are actually returning again and again. However we do not rest, improving the facilities constantly, maintaining them with pride annually.

Bedrooms are configured as: (Master Bedroom) ) double bed, (Garden Bedroom) double or 2 x twin beds. This bedroom also has a single bed on the mezzanine floor level - suitable for a 10 year + aged child. The "Almacen" Bedroom has a double bed and is located in the second of two walled, private courtyards, both of which are within the curtilage of the main house itself.

We offer Casa Margarita as a unique and superbly reviewed holiday destination, Guests invariably say that the photos are great but that the surprise on arriving and seeing it in real life makes them realise what a unique and amazing holiday home it really is! Amazing Stay!
What a nice place to stay nearby Famara. We enjoyed the cosy house with lovely terraces and a very clean pool. The pool was heated and the kids spent every hour there! The kitchen has everything you need and more. The rooms were also very nice and clean and spacious. Every child had his/her own place to sleep! We are coming back!

We have travelled to different houses for the last 7 years and this was easily the best we have ever stayed at. Beautiful, well equipped kitchen, great location, lovely comfortable bedrooms with bathrooms. The pool, the BBQ..... Loved everything about the house :)

A beautiful and unique hideaway.
We spent a very relaxing week here in February 2017. The property is immaculately finished and designed to a high standard. John was there to meet us on arrival and show us round and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay in Casa Margharita if you are looking for a peaceful getaway.

Why they chose this property

We first came to Lanzarote on holiday and fell head over heals in love with it´s stunning scenery, volcanic landscapes and sleepy villages.
It didn´t take us long to decide that this was where we wanted to make our home. We bought a partially restored finca in the village of Soo, (Casa Margarita),close to the famous surfing beach of Famara. Our vision was to reform the house and turn it into a luxury holiday accommodation with a home away from home feel. It took a lot of hard work and determination from us both to complete the work on the house but we enjoyed every minute of it and learned an awful lot along the way.

Then, we guess that something made us do it again - taking on another Finca, - Casa Camella, renovating it and again offering it to holidaymakers. Casa Margarita´s location is ideal for simply relaxing or for the energetic there is the possibility of hiring bikes from La Santa village, surfing and kitesurfing in Famara and very popular now also is walking, with signposted routes. Guidebooks that show the routes (and contain GPS waypoints) are available from UK and internet outlets. Look out for Walk Lanzarote by Ros and David Braun - ISBN 1- 899554-94-7. Diving is available all around the island, Windsurfing at Costa Teguise. Ask if you have a specific sport that is not mentioned.

What makes this property unique

Casa Margarita is situated on the edge of the village of Soo and enjoys privacy to all aspects. The house has a traditional feel with it´s open courtyards, high ceilings and thick stone walls.

With the properties that we own occupying a rural tourism market slot, we offer something more to holidaymakers than can ever be obtained when staying in a resort. The privacy and space offered by this rural house is unmatched by resort based properties.

Holidaymakers that stay with us often return again and again, in the knowledge that, as they often say, "it is just like coming home".
