Bien

Fabulous Relaxing Holiday!
July / August 2018 We had an amazing holiday and stay at the farm house. Lovely views, fab swimming pool. The farm house had everything we needed, a great kitchen, large gas barbeque, lounge, two bathrooms and very comfy beds! Plenty of linen and towels too. We can't wait to go back again! Sun rises, sunsets out of this world, the night sky superb. Great places to visit too, Sierra Nevada, Alhambra Palace to name a few. Highly highly recommend this lovely rustic 200 year old house as well as the surrounding area. Jane and Peter Ashington

Beautiful views and cool evenings
This villa is up a windy mountain road not for the faint hearted but resulting in a fantastic view over the Granada valley. It is over 1200m meaning that the air is slightly cooler and less humid than lower down. The sunrise over the mountains is a must see and the sun sets behind the mountain at 7.30 so plenty of time to cool down before it gets dark. The pool is perfect size for families to play games and is plenty deep enough. The interior is quite rustic, fully equipped, but no internet or WiFi and mobile connection is inconsistent. The bedrooms are warm but lovely. There is no air conditioning. There are two showers, the upstairs bathroom has a shower bath which is great. Loads of towels are provided which saves packing.the kitchen could do with an update, food left out on the work surface attracts ants almost immediately.

We live in Merseyside, England with our three children, two dogs and a snake! We love getting away from it all as often as possible to our little oasis in the sun.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy a holiday home firstly because we'd had so many holidays where we'd come home more tired than before we'd left due to noisy neighbours/ surrounding bars etc. Hassles with getting sunbeds, disappointment with accommodation, stresses of laundry etc further added to our dreams of owning our own home.
We have always loved Spain and it's proximity to England and spent two years researching the area. We chose Granada as it is such a beautiful, historic city and a fantastic base to explore Andalusia. Further to this we could take the children skiing in the winter in the Sierra Nevada mountains - so we could use the house all year round.
The house was derelict when we bought it and have since lovingly restored it and added a pool.

What makes this property unique

Our house is in such a lovely spot. The views of the Sierra Mountains and surrounding countryside are second to none. At night there's nothing more relaxing than enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the lights twinkling below in Granada. Sometimes we lie on the sunbeds and turn out all the lights and watch for shooting stars! It's a home from home with all the mod-cons to make staying there as hassle free as possible. The kids love the pool and are safe to run and play in the surrounding countryside. Our neighbours (200 yards away approx) are all Spanish and have welcomed us into their families and we've had some great nights dancing Flamenco and learning to cook Paella. It's a great experience for the children too - they've made some very close friends.
