This amazing and completely refurbished home is situated on a stunningly beautiful one-acre, gated OCEANFRONT estate property, right in the middle of magical Hanalei Bay. It is, in fact, one of the ONLY vacation rental cottages on beachfront property to be found anywhere on central Hanalei Bay. Private, direct access to the beach, which is only 150 feet from your doorstep. Hanalei Town is less than two blocks away- an easy walk for dining and shopping. Also enjoy spectacular views of our beautiful mountains from the cottage living area and screened-in patio. World-famous North Shore Napali Coast hiking trails are accessed 15 minutes from Hanalei. Boat and Kayak excursions also depart right from the Bay.



As with all beachfront properties on Kauai, this house is located in a tsunami evacuation zone. Please see detailed evacuation information located inside the door of the cottage.

Hanalei Cottage
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It's in a great location just down the street from the town of Hanalei and right next to the Hanalei Bay beach. The cottage was very clean and full of features to make our stay very comfortable. The outside shower was a big hit too! We hope to stay again in the future. A big mahalo to Kim and Smoky for making this special property available for rental!

So wonderful we don’t even want to tell anyone
It is difficult to describe Paradise Lost and found. Perhaps it is much like returning to one’s elementary school days and finding your long lost treasured keepsake safely tucked away in the lost and found box under the Principal’s office counter. This place is pure comfort, both in the beauty of the grounds and the livability of the cottage. Great location. Great hosts. Great found treasure. If you’re looking for a place that has everything, you’ve found it. Steps from the ocean and steps from Hanalei Town as well, this place can’t be beat. The home is beautifully appointed and stocked. It is also very clean. While it doesn’t face the ocean, the yard is gorgeous and very “Hawaiian” in nature. As other reviews have stated, the outdoor shower is a must. Smoky and Kim are lovely hosts who care very much about making your stay the best it can be. Look no further for the best accommodation on Hanalei Bay.

Felt Like Residents instead of Tourists
Our hosts made us feel right at home in their quiet and secluded guest house. The property is perfectly located as it is: 1) right on the beach at Hanalei Bay, one of the most gorgeous spots on one of the most gorgeous islands, and 2) a very short walk from "downtown" Hanalei, with its shops, markets, and restaurants. Recommendation: book at least a week. Heavenly!
