This one queen bedroom loft style gem is located on the Sayulita River that runs right through town! Situated in the quieter part of town, it is still a prime location with only a 12 min walk to downtown and 16 min walk to the beach. Our home offers plenty of space and beautiful balcony options that are very secluded. With a modern kitchen and comfortable bedroom you will have a relaxing, comfortable stay in your home away from home!

About Property Manager/Owner
My husband and I purchased this amazing property in 2015 as a getaway for us and our children. Our intention is for this to be our retreat and vacation spot with our 5 kids! We have chosen to rent occasionally to help cover costs although we daydream about living there year round!
Property Manager/Owner purchased this House in 2015
Why Property Manager/Owner chose Sayulita
We bought this house because it's charm and location were perfect for our needs. We fell in love with the open layout, the outdoor breeze through the house and the fun style. It has always has such a great feel whenever we are there.
What makes this House unique
Our house is close to town and the beach it is an easy walk yet it feels removed since it is quieter on our side of town. We have much more space than most homes in the area and it is a very comfortable home:)

A great little place
We enjoyed this house and Sayulita. House is comfortable. The location was very convenient: 10-15 minute walk to almost anywhere. We didn't even need a golf cart. The road is dusty, but you're up on the 3rd level, so that reduces noise and dust. I've never spent a month anywhere that had more perfect weather!
Sayulita is dusty, dirty, and loud. Accordion music rises from the local Mexican bars late into most weekend nights. Everyone has a dog roaming the streets. There is a crowing rooster in every back yard. Many of the streets are dirt. If dust and dirt bother you, sound and smells offend, crusty pot smoking rasta surfers make you nervous, don't go to Sayulita. Stay on a resort in Cabo.
I love Sayulita; it is smudged jewel of Mexican and surf culture. We enjoyed the open air markets, the amazing food, Paraiso Yoga, and several of the local beaches/breaks.
Casa Marisol is a perfect launch pad for daily surf sessions, yoga, jungle hikes and beach runs. Location. Location. Location. Its not as loud and busy as town but its quite close to everything. The house is comfortable, well provisioned, and a short walk into town. This casa is huge for just two people. The big double doors lining both sides of the space combined with several ceiling fans are ample for keeping the house cool and comfortable. I love sleeping in the open air. The bed is comfortable. You can sip coffee on the back patio in the morning and coladas on the front courtyard in the evening. This space encourages use! We suggest you rent surfboards from WildMex and leave them at the shop. This allows a short walk to the beach with both arms free. Both arms free allows buying fresh guavas and smoothies on the walk in and stopping for al pastor on the way home. A WildMex rental includes the benefit of a locker/bathroom/changing area at the beach. There are other shops but I've used them several times and can't recommend them enough.
We had Kari plus two other local folks reach out during our stay to ensure all our needs were met. We needed nothing during our stay except for a water delivery which was seamless. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely visit! I look forward to many more trips to Sayulita!
NICE OPEN AREA ON THE RIVER
We really enjoyed the house. The open concept was great and the view out the back overlooking the river was gorgeous! The huge ficus tree was lovely as it blocked the view of the highway and bridge nearby giving it a jungle effect (as others have mentioned). Many different birds to watch.
The library was great! People on vacation like to read and there was a good variety of books available.
We found the front of the house (large deck) too noisy to spend time on. The dirt road in front is a the main shortcut from downtown Sayulita to the highway to Punta Mita. Very busy with cars, trucks, ATV’s, motorcycles and golf carts which also made it very dusty. Housekeeping was only every two weeks (we were there for 6) so we were sweeping/mopping every two-three days. More frequent housekeeping would have been an asset.
The house is spacious enough for 4 people, so a murphy bed would be a nice asset for anyone with children or two people who weren’t a couple.
Overall, a great space. Fully equipped with everything you need!
Thank you for your review! You were certainly there at the busiest time of year- I think Christmas has become busier each year and if there is construction on the main roads then our relatively quiet street becomes more of a pass through!
Thank you for spending time in Sayulita- it is near and dear to our hearts!
Kari & Paul
an oasis in Sayulita
We spent 8 days in this lovely family home just a 10 minute walk from town & the beach. The upstairs living area is open with light and air overlooking the Sayulita riverbed which only runs at certain times of the year. There is currently road construction in the area which makes the road outside rather busy & dusty & noisy. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a nice laundry and work area, and front and back balconies are lovely for morning and afternoon times. To optimize the stay would be to have a more thorough cleaning and maintenance of the property and provide the paper products that most vacation properties do provide. It was a fun time to be in Sayulita during their local festival and be a part of their lively celebration.
This place is amazing. Looking forward to staying here again.
This house is wonderful. It's just far enough away that the noise from downtown doesn't affect you and close enough that we loved the short walk to the beach. Every morning we open the living room doors and keep a cool breeze going through the house. It felt more like we were living in a tree house with everything we needed. Inside of the house is beautiful with multiple balconies and the kitchen is perfect as we found ourselves buying fresh seafood and vegetables at the nearby market and cooking more than we thought. The owners were very easy and nice to work with and we just felt lucky they would share a home like this with us as it's obvious they have personalized it with a lot of love. Can't wait to come back.
It is such a joy to have people in our casa who love a place like Sayulita and our home!
This is a beautiful property in a special place.
Our host made our entry into her Sayulita residence easy. This is a two story home where a curved staircase leads you from the lower level outdoor covered living room space with sectional seating and bar to the second level living space. A well furnished and decorated open floor plan with living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom. A desk area, laundry and beautiful bathroom complete the interior space. A rear outdoor covered balcony overlooks the Sayulita riverbed and a covered and open terrace space faces the road and morning sunrise with a table & chairs for outdoor dining and a lounger and hammock for relaxation. Large doors on the front and rear open wide with a cross breeze that makes one feel like they are living in a treehouse. This is someone home more than just a rental unit with the comforts and emenities you might expect in a home. The kitchen is modern and beautiful.
If the rear enclosed yard had a small swimming pool, it would have been perfect for a much longer stay. The short 10 minutes walk to restaurants, shopping and the beach is as advertised. We would strongly recommend this property.
