We invite you to our quiet 4 bedroom cottage on the cove. Located on the long arm of Secret Cove amongst tall cedar trees, you can enjoy the tranquility of the gardens while sitting on the garden swing and listening to the buzzing of busy bees or the graceful play of the humming birds, while you close your eyes and just relax.

Or you can follow our garden path and steps (121) through the forest, down to the tidal fjord, sit on the deck and relax while watching the wildlife surround you. Listen to the calming sounds of Homesite Creek as it flows into the ocean while bald eagles, blue herons and ravens come seeking food.

Launch the canoe or kayaks (provided) and explore some ten kilometers of protected shoreline in Secret Cove. Paddle around the islands, put the crab trap down to catch dinner, or visit the marina. Take the water taxi to the beautiful sandy beaches at Buccaneer Bay on Thormanby Island.

In the evening go off to Coopers Green Regional Park where you can watch the activities at the boat launch, comb the beach for seashells or drift wood, and watch the sun say goodbye for the day. Then come back and light the campfire, roast marshmallows, make s'mores, and sip on a glass of your favourite wine while watching the flames dancing in the dark. Take advantage of the fresh evening air to plan you next day's adventure.

The choices are endless. You could hike one of the many local trails or explore Smuggler Cove Provincial Marine Park with trails overlooking the Strait of Georgia. Charter a local fishing boat (5 minutes up the road) and try your luck at fishing for salmon or ling cod. Venture off, to one of the many mountain biking trails, or arrange a sea kayak rental next to the Lighthouse pub (15 minutes up the road in Sechelt) the choice is yours.

The Sunshine Coast is host to several festivals, the Gibsons Jazz Festival in June, Sea Cavalcade in July, the Festival of the Written Arts and Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival in August, and the Pender Harbour Jazz Festival in September just to mention a few.

Throughout the summer there are many craft fairs and farmers markets to attend. Artisan studios dot the landscape all along the coastal highway where shopping for unique gifts are a treat on a rainy day. (look for the purple road side banners)

There are lots of choices for dining out, from fine dinning at the Rock Water Resort or The Upper Deck Cafe ( seasonal ) floating restaurant in Secret Cove. If you want to make your own meals, you can put a steak on the bar-b-cue on the front porch or put a casserole in the full size oven. You can dine outside at the table for four on the covered porch or inside at the dining room table with seating for eight. A full size refrigerator, basic cooking ingredients, and all the pots and pans you will ever need allow for any meal plan.

So start dreaming now, book a date, and bring your favorite book.............. in case it rains.

A Great Holiday Getaway
This is our second time and the property is a cozy getaway with all the amenities we need. It's a bonus that we can bring our dog and plug in our vehicle too. Hosts are on the property and super accommodating. Thank you!

Beautiful autumn getaway with friends
Cozy, quirky little cabin with water access and lots to do. The cabin had a nice open plan so we could cook and socialize with everyone in the cabin. We were a group of eight and had no trouble moving around the kitchen and sitting together at the large dining table. We were lucky enough to enjoy good weather (for November) so we could have a fire in the outdoor pit, and enjoy paddling in Secret Cove (advice about tides from the hosts should definitely be followed). Even got in a little snorkelling (wetsuit required, of course). Hosts were friendly and quick to communicate - alas we didn't have a chance to meet them in person, though I believe they do live on site.

Warm, full of character
Very functional, close to trails, homey and sweet. Ian and Jackie are very reaponsive and have a fully furnished space that they share. Their home shares a wall with this accommodation but it is not noticed in terms of any noise or for privacy. The woodstove is lovely for the fall weather and there are many interesting trinkets and decorations in the space and backyard. Beautiful undercover deck area and noce open concept inside.

A Quiet Peaceful Getaway
The property is treed with gardens and outdoor garden art with a fire pit. There is a pathway with some steps leading down to the inlet. Since you are near the end of the tidal inlet look up the local tide charts so that you can easily time your paddle out to explore this great kayaking area. Inside there is everything you need: 4 almost equal sized bedrooms, a full bathroom and a half, and a fully functional well equipped kitchen, dining, living room combo. We brought our two dogs and they could lie about on the deck since there is a gate at the top of the stairs. Overall the six of us had a great time and if you need to catch up on your sleep you won’t find a quieter place than this.
