For small groups looking to visit and enjoy the beautiful town of St. Andrews, there is no other property in the downtown area like Windrose. This stately Georgian colonial was built in the 1830's and has recently undergone a full renovation including an expanded gourmet kitchen and all new bathrooms. There are six comfortable bedrooms, some with private baths, some with shared baths. Two living rooms, a sitting room, sun room and lounging patio provide ample space to spread out and enjoy a few days away.

In addition to the main living area of the house, there is a *separately rentable* one bedroom apartment that is a fantastic in-law or private suite for wedding parties, first floor suite for groups who have a guest with mobility issues or groups with very young children requiring a quieter space for early bedtimes. This unit increases the occupancy from 12 to 15 people. If it has not already been rented, we recommend that large groups consider this additional space for added privacy for your party. It's all about location, right? Windrose sits on the corner of King and Montague Streets, which Reader's Digest has called the "most handsome corner in Canada". You'll find yourself just two blocks from Water Street, the main shopping and restaurant avenue in St. Andrews. Take in Kingsbrae Gardens, multiple museums, galleries, restaurants and pubs within a few blocks of our front gate. If you just want a great view of the water, stroll down to the historical St. Andrews wharf and take in an amazing sunset on the long summer nights.

As nice as the location is for taking in the sights and sounds of St. Andrews, Windrose is just as good at making you feel at home and giving you the private space you need for your family or group. The architecture and spaciousness of the home creates a tranquil and surprisingly cozy setting for you to enjoy and relax. There are six bedrooms that will sleep up to 12 people. There are 4.5 baths including a private en-suite for the master bedroom. A gourmet chef's kitchen with gas stove, island, prep sink and secondary refrigerator will keep the most discerning cook in your group delighted.

The large 12-person spacious dining room will easily accommodate a terrific dinner party. Retire afterwards to the inviting living room with attached sitting room. There is an additional, more-secluded living room in the back of the house for those who need a little reprieve from the festivities. The well maintained outdoor space is accessible through a bright and airy sunroom that leads to a brick patio with comfortable lounge furniture, tables and chairs for dining and a gas BBQ. The lot is surrounded by tall hedges and a tree line allowing you to relax in privacy.

For groups of six or more looking to immerse themselves in downtown St. Andrews, Windrose is the perfect choice for you. We hope you enjoy it.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE SEPARATE APARTMENT: This property also has a one bedroom apartment (renovated 2015) with a private entrance on the first floor of the rear of the house. It is available for rent *separately* and can sleep three additional people between a queen bed and a pullout couch. There is a full kitchen, 3/4 bath, living room and laundry facilities. This suite is not included in the rental rates, however, you can choose to rent this apartment for an additional fee for larger groups or if you would like to ensure total privacy on the property (assuming it has not already been rented). Should you choose not to rent the suite, it is IMPORTANT to note that this apartment may have it's own tenant during your rental although the grounds and patio are only accessible to you. The rental fee is reduced to $150/night from $190/night for guests choosing to rent the entire property. There is an $80 cleaning fee per stay.

NOTE: This apartment is occupied full time until May 31, 2016.
