Our newly renovated and professionally decorated apartment is a modern oasis in a building with 1950's charm. Located on the trendy West 4th that has lots of shops and eateries, and above a local favorite Sophie's Cosmic Cafe, it's a quiet retreat after a busy day exploring Vancouver.

The living room has a 55” internet-enabled Smart TV with Netflix, Wifi, a pullout queen sofabed, laptop desk, and eating bar. We have a Sony music player that connects via bluetooth/wifi to your smartphone so you can play your own music.

Each of the two bedrooms have comfy Hilton-hotel-quality queen sized beds with hotel quality linens, cozy down duvets and both down-filled and polyfill pillows.

There are two bright bathrooms, one with a shower, one with a shower and bathtub. Both have radiant in-floor heating and hair dryers.

The suite has its own heavy duty washer and dryer, 10 foot high ceilings, a long spacious entryway and 1,150 square feet of space, all to yourself.

We know you'll want to eat-in during your stay so the kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook at home....pots, pans, toaster, plates, cutlery, rice bowls, rice cooker, blender, and even a kid-friendly plastic set of plates and cups. For your convenience there's an iron, ironing board, vacuum, and recycling bins, a play pen that can be used as crib (upon request), and a starter supply of laundry and dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels.

Our apartment uses charming radiators for heat, and there is no air conditioning, but both bedrooms have windows you can leave open, and there's a tower fan in the living room if the weather turns hot.

Come and go as you please and enjoy full privacy. The front and back doors have digital locks, so no keys are required to pick up, drop off, or share with fellow travelers. Just enter a 4-digit code we'll base on your phone number to unlock and lock the door. Our guests love this flexibility. There is a key for the building.

Guests must be at least 25 years of age. We do ask all our guests to be respectful of the other long-term tenants that share the building.

Our location is fantastic, situated on the trendy West 4th Avenue, in the sought after neighbourhood of Kitsilano, and just a short walk to the fabulous Kitsilano Beach. Our neighbourhood even has its own app, ShopWest4th, which you might want to download from Google apps or Itunes! We're centrally located, close to downtown, Stanley Park, and the University. Outside your door are great restaurants, and lots of shops for trend setters and outdoor enthusiasts. You can walk to the tourist mecca of Granville Island Market, and it's a short 10 minute drive or bus trip to downtown, Robson Street, English Bay, the University of British Columbia, and more.

Coming for the beach experience? If you want sandy beaches and to sunbathe, hang out with the younger crowd, swim laps or let the kids splash in a wading pool, walk 10 minutes down the hill to the famous Kits Beach, the home of the Celebration of Light fireworks competition every July and August, the Kitsilano Boatshow, and Bard on the Beach (Shakespeare in the Park). If you want to rent a sailboat, ocean kayak, paddleboard or skimboard…its just a short 10 minute drive to Jericho Beach. If you prefer volleyball, beach barbeques, long walks, jogging, or watching spectacular sunsets and dogs frolicking in the surf, then drive past Jericho and Locarno beaches to the famous Spanish Banks Beach.

Like shopping? You’re close to lots! From our door it’s literally a 10 second walk to the best part of trendy West 4th Avenue where you can shop for groceries at Whole Foods (for organics) or Safeway, for workout clothes at Lululemon, for outdoor gear at a number of shops, casual wear at Roots, buy a Vancouver keepsake at Oh My Gift, pick up something for the kids at Hip Baby or The Candy Aisle, relax at a spa, and much much more. We love walking to the world famous tourist mecca of Granville Island Market for our fresh produce and baked goods, artisan crafts or to take in live theater or eat at the Sandbar or Bridges restaurants. Or walk about 10 minutes to Broadway and McDonald where there's more interesting shops for old and young, markets and restaurants. Hop on the bus across the street and in about 10 minutes you’ll be downtown where you can shop the famous Robson Street, the Bay, Holt Renfrew, Pacific Centre, or Nordstroms. Or take the bus (or walk) to South Granville, another great place to shop and check out the art galleries.

Even though our apartment is right above Sophie's Cafe, its remarkably quiet. The cafe is only open until 8pm at night and you don't hear the restaurant guests or noise.

Are you a foodie? There are TONS of great restaurants, ethnic eateries, organic cafes and even vegetarian diners within walking distance - on West 4th Avenue, Broadway, and Cornwall (along Kits Beach). For beach and sunset views eat at the Boathouse Restaurant on Kits Beach. A 3 minute walk will get you to your morning latte at Starbucks or Whole Foods. Brown's Social House and Roland's are both popular, or splurge and eat at the posh Bishops. A Beer, Wine, and Spirits shop is part of Biminis pub across the street.

Relying on the bus? There are bus stops within a 30 second walk that will get you to a skytrain station, downtown, to shopping, or to the university. Vancouver has a great transit system with a skytrain that goes to Burnaby, Surrey, New Westminster and the airport. Why drive downtown when you can hop on a bus and get there in 10 minutes?

Want to bike? We suggest renting from Comfor two blocks away, and then biking to Stanley Park and around the seawall for a true Vancouver experience.

Have a car? There's a parking spot reserved for your suite in the back alley. Otherwise, it's street parking only in a neighbourhood that has side-street parking for non-residents.

We'll need a phone number of the guest booking to stay in contact with you during your stay (by email, phone, or text) and confirmation of how many guests will be staying, so we can leave enough starter supplies for you.

Hi. I'm Vancouver born and raised and grew up in Kits. I have great memories of spending time at the pool at Kits Beach, walking in wet sand when the tide was out at Spanish Banks, hiking through Pacific Spirit park near UBC, and going to the funky shops along West 4th.

Our house is one of several I and my team at TSL Laneway Homes manage for overnight rentals in Vancouver. We live here, we work here, we love it here! We know you will too.

Why Leslie Ann chose West Side

Kitsilano is a fabulous neighbourhood and one of the most sought after in Vancouver. It`s rich, its trendy, its new age, its eclectic, its old, its modern. There are some beautiful old 1920 homes, plus lovely modern west coast ones. Many of the streets are lined with breathtakingly beautiful cherry blossom trees in the spring, huge magestic chesnut trees in the summer and part of West 10th has elms which form a magical arch along the road, which only adds to the beauty of the area. There are some breathtaking views of both mountains and oceans to remind us why Vancouver is one of the most liveable cities in the world.

What makes this apartment unique

This apartment is great for a friend's weekend away, for families , and for executives who need to be close to downtown. You're close to beaches (where you can rent equipment for ocean activities), shops, downtown, Granville Island, the University of British Columbia and to transit which will take you anywhere in the city. Our apartment is a great close to groceries, cafes, shopping.

There is no elevator, but its just a few steps up to our apartment from the front door, so shouldn't be too hard to get your luggage into the suite.

3:00 pm checkin, 10:00am check out. (There may be a $50/hr fee for every hour you're over the check out time if we haven't prearranged an alternate time) Quiet time in the apartment is from 10pm to 8am out of respect for the other people who live in our apartment building. You should expect a small amount of 'apartment living' noise from neighbours, but otherwise our suite is quite quiet. If you want daily or weekly maid service we can arrange that for an extra charge. Bring your own beach towels and beach blankets if you`re coming during the summer. And shampoos. You are welcome to use the umbrella and Vancouver guides and maps during your visit, but please return them before checking out so other guests can use them, or you may be charged a replacement fee. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Our suite is outfitted with recycling and composting bins.

Comfy, warm, spacious and stylish

We loved our stay here – great apartment! beautifully appointed, great having two bathrooms, lovely kitchen and comfy beds. And a great location - we managed to get quite a good look around Vancouver using public transport, rental bikes and walking. We really couldn't fault it.

Great condo, great location

Had a great time in Vancouver. The condo is ideally located in Kitsalano with easy access downtown, Granville island, restaurants and the beaches. The condo was comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed.

Location Location!!

Very comfortable, large suite able to accommodate our group.

Unit very clean.

Beds were comfortable.

Appreciated the kitchen facilities to cook breakfast.

If I had rented accommodation on my own, I would not have been able to access - series of 12+ fire escape stairs to gain access to suite.

Grateful for stand alone fans in the rooms as steam radiators were emitting warmth even though turned off.

Close to beach, lots of restaurants close by.

Very enjoyable stay, easy access to family staying in downtown core.

Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful spot!

This apartment was beautifully laid out, thoughtfully set up for families with kids (replete with stepping stools for toothbrushing), quiet, with lovely decor and extraordinarily comfortable beds.

The apartment was clean, organized and ideally situated in the heart of Kitsilano, with great shops and restaurants nearby. We very much enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend this place more.

Location, Comfort, Style!

We spent 5 nights at Leslie-Ann's terrific Kits apartment. We were only 2 people, so it was quite spacious, but with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, it would work well for more. It was absolutely

spotless upon arrival, and we thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable, modern furnishings. As others have noted, the location is remarkable, within walking distance to everything: Safeway, Whole Foods, Rain or Shine Ice Cream, a movie theater, hip clothing and gift shops, transit, etc. Don't let the lack of views bother you. This is a really great rental!
