The valley station of the gondola lift, which leads to the Gerlitzen ski area with 13 lifts, is only 6 km away. You will find slopes of all levels of difficulty at 700 to 1,911 m above sea level. Snow-making facilities ensure a high level of snow reliability. Ice skating, curling rinks, tobogganing, horse riding and sleigh rides are also nearby. A cross-country ski run is right in the village.

Bodensdorf is on the one hand directly on the Ossiacher See but on the other hand at the foot of the 1. 911 meter high ski mountain 'Gerlitzen'. In the vicinity and quickly accessible by car or public transport, there are two other ski mountains: the 2. 167 meter high 'Dobratsch' and the 2.000 meter high 'Verditz'. Winter sports in all variations are in the immediate vicinity.
