Looking for your home away from home? Don't miss this furnished beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home tucked off the beaten path on 1.4 acres on a quiet culdesac, yet easy access from the highway and close to a plethora of activities year round, from skiing/snowboarding to dogsledding in the winter, to hiking, boating, ziplining, and more in the warmer months.
The Outside: The Birch House boasts a huge yard, multiple perennial gardens, 5 apple trees, and fresh strawberry and raspberry plants for you to help yourself when in season, 3/4 of an acre of fully fenced in backyard, large wrap around deck for outdoor entertaining, and a fire pit. There's even a small stream that borders the property running through the woods for a secluded spot to listen to the water trickle and relax in nature, right at home!
The Inside: The home features an open floor plan with the focal point being a beautiful stone fireplace (gas) in the living room with a large sectional couch and flat screen TV with BluRay player (we also have Hulu and Netflex set up for you to use!). The kitchen area has a dining table for 6, granite countertops, mahogany cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, and a large sliding glass door to the walk out deck, leading to the large fenced in back yard. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the basics you would need, including pots/pans, knives, silverware, dishes and glasses, spices, etc. Just bring the food, and it's a chef's kitchen waiting for you! The first floor also has a full bath, complete with tub and shower.
On the second floor you'll find 3 bedrooms: the 1st bedroom has a full size bed with ample closet space, the 2nd bedroom has a full size futon and computer desk with chair (also ample closet space), and the master bedroom is very large with a queen bed, 2 large dressers, a love seat, and a large closet. The second has another full bath with shower.
Centrally located at the gateway to the White Mountains, the house is very easy access on/off the highway while being nestled in an "off the beaten path" atmosphere. Only 30 minutes to Waterville Valley Resort, known as the quaint "town at the end of the road", 20 minutes to Lincoln and Loon Mountain, where you'll find plenty of year round activities. Plymouth is only about 10 minutes away, and features a quaint downtown area with shopping and dining, and is also home to Plymouth State University.
Other nearby activities include rock climbing and the Polar Caves in Rumney, scenic lift rides at Cannon Mountain on their aerial tram (or Bretton Woods), fishing, hiking the multiple 4000er's on minutes from your door, mountain biking, and so much more. We are in the heart of the White Mountains, where there is never a shortage of things to do for the whole family, whatever the season.
