This lovely guest house is a perfect get-away for families, friends, and their pets. Swim in the pool, walk to the lake, bike on country roads, and fish for dinner.The 750 sq. ft. upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds, and a daybed to sleep 5 guests comfortably. Sleep peacefully on new mattresses. There is no bathroom on this level.

The open floor plan downstairs makes entertaining easy. The kitchen contains full-size appliances, small appliances, and cooking necessities. This level features large dining room, kitchen bar, utility room, and bathroom.

Two flat-screen TVs feature the DISH network and WiFi- is accessible. Books, games, bicycles, the pool, children' toys, and baby equipment are for guest use. The one acre yard is fully fenced for privacy and pet, child safety. There is plenty of outdoor play area for the kids.

Walk or bike to nearby lake which has a fishing pier. Nashville Shores Beach Park is close as well as Opry Mills entertainment Mall, Lebanon Outlet Mall, Providence Market Place. Major shopping, restaurants, golf courses, movies and more are within 2 miles.

About Suzanne and Cliff Rockstead

Cliff and Suzanne have been married for 49 years, have a grown son, and wonderful grand-daughter. They both love animals, currently have 2 dogs, Nicky, and Frannie, and 1 cat, Mittens.

Both obtained graduate degrees from the University of TN. Cliff works as professor of business at a local community college, says it is his retirement job. Suzanne has had a varied career as a social worker and interior designer.

They have been welcoming guests into their home for 2 years and have met people from many countries in Europe, South America, and the Orient. It has been an incredibly fun journey and has changed our lives forever. Our interests have expanded, and we have been able to participate in some of our guests functions and activities.

We live on the property and are almost always available. We enjoy interacting with our guests, but also allow you as much privacy as you need. Some guests "pop in and out" of the main house regularly, and there are a few whom we have never seen.

Why Suzanne and Cliff Rockstead chose Hermitage

We had always lived in subdivisions and had built our "final house". After a few years and acquiring two dogs and a cat, we wanted more land for the pets, a place where the dogs could run "off-leash". (Suzanne also wanted a pool!) This was the perfect place, though we really did not want the pool house as additional upkeep. We love to walk to the lake with the dogs, and Mittens spends his days in the adjacent field looking for prey.

Suzanne loves to shop and daily "runs up" to Providence to pick up something.

What makes this house unique

The location is "unbelievable". Mount Juliet is growing rapidly and constantly building. We feel we live in the country with all the quiet benefits, yet can enjoy all the benefits of the city of Nashville. Besides living adjacent to 37 mile long Percy Priest Lake, we are minutes from Long Hunter State Park and Cedars of Lebanon State Park, which are great for hiking, picnics, and boating. Outdoor lovers can rent canoes, engage in nature day and night events, swim, play tennis, and horseback ride at the parks.

Great space!

Cliff and Suzanne are great hosts! Plenty of sleeping space and living space for our family of four. Fenced in yard for the dogs. Great choice and we may return!

Very clean, comfortable, quiet property with friendly, accommodating hosts.

Owners were on site for check-in and check-out and were very friendly and helpful with regards to area attractions and amenities. Neighborhood was very safe and quiet. Property was located on a residential, dead-end street with very little traffic that made a perfect route to walk our dog. Grocery, gas, restaurants all within 10 minute drive. Hope to be back again.

Great place especially for the price.

Owners were super nice and gave us our privacy, only saw them at check in and when we were loading our car to leave but they made sure we had everything thing we needed. Loved the opportunity to visit Nashville with our canine family members.
