About the property

Welcome to our home-away-from-home apartment in the exclusive Solarea Resort in Palmas del Mar, Puerto Rico. It is spacious, comfortable, with beautiful views of the beach and a resort-style pool. It's also right across from a gorgeous beach!

We bought this luxury apt in 2014 to make it our home-away-from-home. We love it. We go 3 or 4 times per year, including a month-long stay in the summer for the kids. It's very comfortable, spacious, and relaxing, while at the same time offering a ton of entertainment nearby. We've decided to rent it a few months of the year just to help breakeven with expenses. We will consider half-year or even full-year rentals on a case-by-case basis.

The apartment has 3 bedrooms in about 2200 sq ft. The master bedroom has a king-size tempur-pedic bed (it's fantastic), a desk, and a chest drawer cabinet. The second bedroom is equally spacious, and has a queen-size bed with closet and chest drawer cabinet. The third room is the kids' room. It has custom-made bunk beds with 5 separate beds: three are twins, and 2 are fulls, including a trundle that pulls out from under one of the full beds. So in total there are 7 beds. Plenty of space for up to 9 people (ideally two couples with 2 to 3 kids each).

Each bedroom has its own full bath. The master bedroom also has a tub. Then there's a half bath near the entrance of the apartment.

You will have access to the entire apartment except the closet in the master bedroom. We keep that one for our family belongings. You will have plenty of places to keep your clothes in the cabinets in the room, and the closets in the other two rooms.

Palmas del Mar has tons to do. See There are 10+ different restaurants inside the Palmas complex. There is a tennis club, golf club, equestrian center, hotel with casino, and a beach club with water amenities. Tons to do, but also plenty of space and time to relax.

Please keep the place clean, and take care of our furniture and things. Use the ACs, but remember that electricity is very expensive in PR, so please don't waste it.

It's a beautiful condo. It has 24/7 security and maintenance help, a resort-style pool, exercise room, and a lounge. It's right across from the best beach in Palmas del Mar.

You probably want to rent a car to get from the airport to Palmas, or you could take a taxi. Driving time is usually about an hour from San Juan, assuming light traffic (avoid weekday afternoon rush hour). Rental cars are usually reasonable in price, and can be picked up and dropped off at the airport. At Palmas, you could rent a golf cart to get around to restaurants and amenities inside Palmas, or just walk. Distances are reasonable for walking.

Check in time is 3 pm, and checkout time is 10 am.

Notes:
And one more thing: Solarea is the only complex in Palmas with its own diesel electric plant. Electric power in Puerto Rico can be spotty at times, so its very nice to have uninterrupted power to keep running the ACs.
