This historic double, built in 1900, was converted into a single home in 2015. Care was given to restore the historic qualities of the home (12' ceilings, pocket doors, wide plank floors and incredible molding) and at the same time offer all the modern amenities travelers desire (new HVAC, modern kitchen and bathrooms and top quality beds and sheets). Furnished with antiques and art from many local artists.
Recently renovated the main living/dining area to accommodate larger groups.
Prime Location, just one block from some of the best restaurants in town:La Petite Grocery, Shaya, SaffronNOLA, Casamento's and many more. Grocery store and coffee shop around the corner. Within 4 blocks you have everything- antique stores, art galleries, fabulous clothing stores for men and women, workout facilities, nail and waxing salons and much more. You could spend days on this stretch of Magazine Street. 6 blocks from the best music venue in town- Tipitina's. Ideal Mardi Gras location, just one block from parade route.
While I thoroughly hope all my guests enjoy all New Orleans has to offer, my home is not a party pad. If you are looking for a place to have wild parties, please skip my home. We are located in a residential neighborhood and want to respect the neighbors. The upside is that the neighborhood is very quiet and family friendly, so no interrupted sleep! I also ask that you treat my home as just that, a home. And please know that I am always available to answer any questions and make suggestions for dining and having a fun night on the town.
Thank you!
