We had a fabulous vacation and our stay at Casa Bella was perfect for us. It's away from all the hustle and bustle of town. The setting is in the middle of 23 acres of beautiful hills and valleys. Leigh was extremely helpful and gracious. The beds were super comfy too! Everything you need for a relaxing peaceful getaway.

Very Private! Very Pretty!

  • 5 of 5

Not only is the house simply lovely, yet the grounds are too! From the moment we stepped into the garden and walked through the house, we knew that we wanted to divide our time between relaxing around the beautiful setting of Casabela and roaming around Calistoga too! Leigh did an excellent job at greeting us and answering our occasional questions! Plus, we admired her creativity throughout the house~ If you want to really treat yourselves to a exceptional place to stay with amazing views, definitely stay at Casabela!

Casabela experience.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Casabela was fabulous. We were celebrating our anniversary and attended a race at Sonoma Raceway. The house provided all of the comforts of home and beautiful surroundings. The drive up the mountain is stunning. We enjoyed the wild life (deer, jackrabbits), the resident cat, the hot tub, and strolls around the property. The location was perfect-secluded but close to many restaurants, wineries and attractions.

Beautiful house, amazing views and close to town

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at many homes around the world, over the years, and this house is impressive! The beautiful home is surrounded by all kinds of plants, flowers and trees on all sides. Apparently Northern California can grow anything including 7 foot tall hydrangeas! The house is a mix of Tuscany and France with a little bit of modern elements mixed in. All of the bathroom doors are antique French doors and the walls are adorned with the owners own photography and art collection. Downtown Callistoga is maybe 7 minutes away but you feel like you're whisked to another world here, completely surrounded by nature! Leigh (the owner) was a pleasure to talk with and very informative on the surroundings (she even recommends a driver that will drive you around to all the wineries). The house was very clean and had every amenity that you would need to stay at a home away from home.

There is a small hill just outside of the house that we walked up and watched an amazing sunset from as well. The grounds are very safe as you can only come in through 1 gate and with a passcode. I would highly recommend this house for a couple looking to get away for a romantic weekend to a whole slew of people ( she has another house just down the path that is also available for rent) wanting to get together for a fun time.

Owner's Response: Just to let travelers know, the Hacienda is quite a ways down from Casabela, and cannot be seen from one villa to another. Both are totally private and guests would not ever see other guests on the property of 400 acres. This traveler wrote a lovely review of Casabela, and the reviews of the Hacienda are equally as fine. thanks to all my wonderful guests that have stayed with me for years....

Fantastic Find

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I decided to spend Christmas away from the cold and dreary mid-west. We did a bit of research and found the Casabela. With the great reviews, we booked it for the week and readied for our trip. Leigh greeted us upon arrival and showed us through the house and familiarized us with the amenities. She also made fantastic recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants, as well as local shops to visit. The Casabela is so unique, with antiques, art and classic Tuscan flair, it captured our hearts immediately. With wineries and vineyards all around, the charming and eclectic towns of Calistoga & St. Helena, we found the Casabela to be the perfect retreat for this couple so far away from home. We will book this one again.

Look no further this is the place when vacationing in Napa Valley. Its as lovely as it seems. Perfect location to call home after a fun filled day of exploring. Close enough to everything but far enough into the foothills to enjoy amazing sunsets under the stars. Perfect fit for four best friends! Pick up some cheese & wine and sit on the porch watching nature. We stayed at Casabela mid-September. The weather was amazing with crisp blue skies and sunny cool days. The property is filled with flowers, herbs, vines, fruit trees and some very cool trees. Leigh made arrangements so easy - loved our stay - we'll be back!
