About the property

Condo on The Slopes Featuring Three Bedrooms and Two Bathrooms Sleeps 6

Winter is here. Best winter here in years with a solid base expected to provide a good base well into March. We have some Sunday through Thursday night availability left. With significantly reduced rates starting mid march on.. It is never too early to start planning for the Spring and Summer. There are numerous activities at the resort and the surrounding area to take advantage of. Think biking and festivals for example.

Now accepting reservations through March 2019

Please note that our complex is one of the few that is on a ski trail without having to back track or cut through other buildings and parking lots. Please make sure you consider this before going to another property that claims ski in ski out access, particularly if there is not any natural snow. Check the pictures of the trail; these pictures were taken by the owners from the unit. You can see the snow making guns in the pictures.

For ski season, we suggest booking soon, as the weekends will fill up. Start thinking about next year's ski season.

Also, consider our place as a stop over if biking the GAP Trail. We are about a 45 minute drive from the Connellsville trailhead and about 25 minutes from Rockwood. You could stay over for 2 nights while riding the 50 miles or so between these two spots.

This is a great place to be to explore the Laurel Highlands. For stays of 2 or more nights and we do not charge a separate cleaning fee. Please consider this often $100 savings when comparing the cost of your stay to other properties.

If you are interested in a one night stay a $65 cleaning fee will be added to the reservation quote after you make your request. Most others on VRBO and Homeaway charge $90 or more for ALL stays. Please consider this when comparing rates.

Please check the Seven Springs website at http://www.7springs.com

In addition to the on site activities, Seven Springs is in the middle of numerous destination spots in the Laurel Highlands.

SPECIAL NOTE: This three bedroom two bath condo can be separated into 2 sides to allow privacy or separate rental into 2 units (sides A and B, often referred to as a "lock-out" unit). We may be able to rent side A or B if you don't need a full 3 bedroom 2 bath. This may include some dates that we have blocked off, so please inquire. We can adjust the rates as appropriate.

Side A includes a full living and dining area with a complete kitchen, washer and dryer and one full bedroom and bathroom. There is a separate balcony off of the living area.

Side B includes two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bath between them, with an additional sink in the master bedroom and a separate balcony off of the master bedroom.

Each of the three bedrooms has a queen sized bed with cable HD TV. Currently we have a moderate selection of channels and FREE WIFI.

The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of utensils, pots and pans. You can cook in and the kids can stop by for lunch or just to warm up during ski season. We plan on using the place frequently and will be leaving some nonperishable cooking items for renters to use; you won't be entering an empty unit. We have plenty of towels, linens, blankets, pillows for your use and will strive to make your stay comfortable.

The dining area features a grand but rustic wooden dining table with seating for 6; room for everyone. There is a 48 inch High Definition Flat Screen TV that can be viewed from the dining table or while relaxing in then large comfortable leather couch and matching love seat. The arm chair looks out over the mountains, while also facing the other furnishings and the television.

The living area has views of the mountains through a sliding glass door that opens to a balcony.

The units in this area are one of the few places that you can watch the Avalanche Chairlift (Lift No. 1) bring people up the slope and watch the skiers head either down Avalanche (blue) or continue on Boomerang Trail (green) right by the condo. It will be fun watching whether a skier will head down Goosebumps (double diamond) or continue down the fun and curvy Boomerang Trail to make it back to the Avalanche lift. Either way, you will have a great view of the skiers going by.

If you have your equipment and ski passes, you can put your equipment on at the ski locker and walk out to the slopes. There is also a lift pass booth at the bottom of the Avalanche Lift, which you can ski to from the unit. The back of the building faces the slopes. You simply walk down to the ground level get your skis and boots and ski or walk to the path at the end of our building to access the slopes. There are 14 steps or two small flights of 7 steps each to get from parking and ski lockers to the level of the unit.

If you are new to skiing, you can take the free shuttle service to the base of the mountain to access the ski rental and ticket office and perhaps take some lessons. If you are a non-skier, you can hold down the fort and have some warm food and drinks ready for the gang. You can also take free shuttle to the main lodge and meet the gang there for food and drink or just take in the atmosphere

Warning: the unit is so comfortable it will take a while before anyone heads back to the slopes.

We will be updating this listing with additional descriptions of the area's attractions and amenities.

We will do what it takes to make things right. We do ask that you respect the property and let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything you need.

No smoking or pets.

About Jack and Mary Foster

We enjoy hiking, biking and skiing. We like the location near hometown Pittsburgh. We are renting the unit to responsible parties, as we realize we can't be there all of the time.

Jack and Mary Foster purchased this condo in 2015

Why Jack and Mary Foster chose Champion

There are very few opportunities to have a vacation home on the slopes of a major ski resort. We have been coming here since the high school ski trip days and have many nice memories skiing here on weekends/day trips for many years. The location is also central to some close friends and relatives in Central PA and Washington DC and will make a nice meeting place.

What makes this condo unique

Numerous summer activities occur at the top of the slopes. Paddleboat rental, catch and release fishing, chairlift rides, bikng, hiking are all just a short walk from the unit. Sporting Clays and the Grill at Sporting Clays are also on the top of the slopes and a short drive or shuttle ride away. Please contact us to get some ideas for your party on the numerous activities and ideas to get the most bang for your buck while you are here.

In addition to the great views and slope access, the previous owners decorated the unit with high quality furnishings with a rustic mountain/snow sports theme. The unit features comfortable furniture, high quality wood tables, lamps and various decorative pieces matching the mountain theme throughout. The unit is one of the closest to the designated car port and guest parking area. The unit comes with a heated ski locker which is close to our unit. Here you can store your skis and boots. Also, the unit has minimal steps (14), the equivalent of one floor, but is still on the 3rd floor offering great views. We have observed many families walking their dogs and enjoying the grounds this Fall. The ability to watch the skiers go by and the easy access to the slopes is flat out amazing. We have really enjoyed our first winter here and are enjoying the start of the summer activities as the outdoor pool nearby is now open..

We will try to keep you most up to date on what to bring regarding any supplies on hand in the unit, but there is always plenty of paper products, coffee filters, dishwasher and dish soap and laundry soap on hand.

Fantastic place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay for our annual ski trip! The living room furniture is very comfortable and roomy. The view from the 2nd floor windows and deck is spectacular. Easy ski in/out and directly overlooks the trail.

The owners are very attentive and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. I can’t thank them enough.

I can’t imagine a better place for us to stay.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful place with us!

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

The 3 bedroom, two bath, kitchen, dining, and living room was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. Extra sleeping bags were provided if you had a larger group. It is clean and well furnished with extras provided such as, laundry, dish and dishwasher soap. The slope access of ski in/ski out allowed for easy access to the slopes and returning back to the condo on skis. The owner was very well welcoming, organized for booking, and responded quickly to our questions. We enjoyed our stay, and hope we can return in 2019

Will definitely rent again. Perfect ski in/out location. Condo was comfortable and well appointed. Owner left a few wonderful surprises for us. We were wowed by their attentiveness. The ski locker is super convenient and the hot tub/spa felt awesome after a long day on the slopes. The layout of the unit is perfect and the view is spectacular. Every touch of home is provided for you. Hoping they will continue to open their home to us as we simply wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Jack and Mary were wonderful! The furnishings are great, very homey and mountain vacation feeling. All the "extras" that were provided for us were unexpected but very much appreciated! Will definitely return.
