Historical trip
We had a great trip to the area to explore several historical sites. The rustic lodge was a great base of operations for us. We enjoyed the comfort and the quiet of the house.

Rural Weekend
The property was clean and well maintained. Minor issue at the start of the stay and the property owner was very responsive and all issues were resolved. The house was very comfortable with lots of sleeping arrangements and amenities. The kitchen had everything we needed for some cookouts and wood provided for camp fires. We found lots of great roads for cycling and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Nice country-styled house
Our family really enjoyed staying in this comfortable house in the country between Gettysburg and Camp David, which is a pretty area along the PA/MD border.

Cabin Getaway
We stayed with our children and wanted a house out of the city and where we could have bonfires. We got what we wanted. The cabin was very nice, everything we wanted was provided! Lou was very accommodating and helpful. Plenty of space for relaxing and a yard to enjoy. We would go back again. We had a wonderful time

Relaxing location, close to historic attractions.
Enjoyable stay and we were able to reach all our desired destinations within an hour which included Antietam and Harpers Ferry.

Lou and Sandee Gusoff of Brighton, Michigan, purchased this property as a summer home. Lou grew up in the Gettysburg area and moved to Mi. as a young adult.
After 39 years on the Detroit Fire Dept. Lou retired and thought about moving back to this house, but having eight grandchildren changed our plan. We had many great summers here with our three sons and continue to visit when possible. We decided to open our home so others could enjoy Gettysburg and the mountain area.

What makes this property unique

We chose this property because we like the mountain views and being completely surrounded by forest and streams. It is also minutes away from the Battle of Monterey Pass, the confederate retreat from Gettysburg, the Appalachian Trail and the Mason Dixon Line. We enjoyed day trips to Washington D.C., Baltimore, Md. and Harpers Ferry.
