Our 1450 square foot town home in the "Embarcadero" community of Barrio de Tubac has been completely refurnished and redecorated in 2015. The gated patio has a “infrared" gas grill and umbrella-covered outdoor dining table which seats four. The well-appointed living room features a leather love seat and matching chair, rustic bar cabinet, concealed entertainment center with flat screen Smart TV, and Kiva-style gas log fireplace. The six-seat dining area separates the living room and the fully stocked, state-of-the-art, gas range kitchen. A full-size washer and dryer are conveniently located off the kitchen.
The master suites on each floor have beautifully tiled soaking tub bathrooms, spacious walk-in closets and feature new queen bedroom sets with hygienic mattress protectors for your comfort and peace of mind.
The third "bedroom" on the main floor has been converted into a relaxing den with two inviting leather recliners, a roomy writing desk, and wall-mounted flat screen Smart TV (Internet connected for audio and video streaming or viewing local cable service.)
You and your guests will also enjoy the convenience of the half-bath in the main hallway.
The upstairs skydeck provides table seating for two and affords views of the Tumacacori and San Cayetano Mountains, unbeatable Arizona sunsets, and dark-sky star gazing; a delightful place to enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine on your first evening here.
Tubac and the surrounding area are rich in history and tradition. Visit the Tumacacori Mission, Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, or walk in the footsteps of Juan Bautista de Anza along the historic Anza Trail.
Your stay in our Embarcadero townhome includes keycard access to the resort-style heated pool and spa, and 24/7 access to the Barrio Recreation Fitness Center. The Tubac village and Plaza de Anza, with some 100 shops and galleries and a variety of eating venues are a modest walk (or very short drive) from the townhome. Just north of the village is the Tubac Golf Resort, with spectacular home sites, fine dining, a health and beauty spa, and, oh yes, a 27-hole golf course.
The city of Nogales to the south offers a glimpse of border life, an insight to the world of produce importation and a gateway (pedestrian recommended) to Nogales, Sonora for an afternoon of shopping, tequila buying and lunch - no pesos needed, but bring your passport!
