The Arbutus Garden Suite is a three bedroom suite renovated in fall of 2014. Everything is brand new, stylish and modern. It is light and airy and can comfortably sleep 6. On the west side of Vancouver, is perfectly located for UBC, downtown and the beaches. The Arbutus Garden suite comes supplied with a wide variety of amenities to get you started with cooking,cleaning, laundry and relaxing while visiting in Vancouver. All you need to add is the foods you like to eat and your own clothing.

I am an underwater cinematographer and part time stunt person working in the Vancouver film industry. My husband I am are also a full time parents to two very active sons.

Why Braden Haggerty chose West Side

We chose to live in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver to be close to the beaches, parks and vibrant street of West Broadway. We also wanted to be close the a major public transport hub which is very important us and our guests but still off the main streets so it is quieter and parking is never an issue.

What makes this house unique

The Almond Park Suites Laneway House is an ideal home away from home for families, academics visiting UBC or anyone wanting to have something different from the standard hotel fare. It is in the middle of a quiet, beautiful and family friendly neighbourhood but also has easy access to many local amenities, beautiful beaches and parks, and all that Vancouver has to offer. Notes:
The Arbutus Garden Suite is ideal for families with children or just families with adult kids who are looking to get away but still have space of their own. We have also play host to lots of groups here for work reasons. We have been up and running for our first summer and the reviews have been great. People really enjoy the location and the that the space has lots of room to easily accommodate some of the larger groups. There are lots of choices just blocks away for retardants and shopping. Because we are at the edge of Kitsilano we avoid the business of the Kitsilano atmosphere but its only a few blocks away.

Great accommodations for our family trip

We really enjoyed our stay at Arbutus Garden Suite. The suite was comfortable and many supplies were provided. The neighbor was easy to get around and we were able to see all the sites we wanted. The host was friendly and very easy to work with. Hope to stay here again in the future.

Cozy 3 bedroom in Vancouver

This is a fantastic property! The location is very good. Close to downtown, Kitsilano beach and Granville island. Accommodations feel very hotel like. Lots of free parking, on a very quiet street. Large park and stores within walking distance. Was traveling with young kids and the homeowners were very accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely stay again!

Awesome Cozy & Quiet

Great location on beautiful tree lined residential street. Plenty of parking. Super clean remodeled basement with gas fireplace. We had 7 in our group and fit just fine. Definitely close to some great Kit's restaurants.

A very clean, comfortable and quiet place for staying in Vancouver

As a sailing team participating in the 2017 6mR World Championships, we found this suite to accomodate our needs. Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, a kitchen ready to prepare meals, lots of parking, a quiet neighborhood, a washing machine and dryer, a second toilet and sink, and plenty of light and space all helped to make the place suitable for 6 adults. Braden was personable and attentive to our requests. We would be happy to stay in this home if needed in the future.

Nice part of town

There were a few things broke when we got there, and on night there was quite a music racket upstairs which stopped exactly at 11pm, which we were thankful for. The unit was fairly clean, we had to double check if it accepted pets on line as there was some pet hair in the sheets in one of the beds.

We had a nice time and the apartment was otherwise well appointed.

Excellent accommodation in convenient neighbourhood

My husband, our student granddaughter and I enjoyed our stay. mostly because everything is of such a high standard. The cosy gas fire place dispelled the damp outside; the beds were very comfortable; and the kitchen was well supplied with all the equipment (and more) for making our meals. Having an extra 2-piece bathroom is always a plus. We would certainly come again. And I nearly forgot - Braden kindly loaned us her Scrabble set!

Arbutus Garden Suite is located in an ideal area of Vancouver in the world famous Kitsilano area. It is situated a block and a half away for one the cities main bus hub called 10th and Alma. Here you can get buses to anywhere in the city including the University of British Columbia (one 15 minute bus ride) to downtown (one 20 - 25 minute bus ride) where you connect to buses that take you to the ski hills, and other areas of the great Vancouver area.

Kitsilano is a bustling community. It is very family oriented but has plenty for those of all ages. Being a very safe area one can walk around at night and feel comfortable. Right near our location are many options for restaurants and bars as well as shops for fresh vegetables and meats. As well as 3 great options for grocery stores. The beach is a 15 - 20 minute walk down the road and is used all year long seeing as the Vancouver climate is quite mild.

The Garden Suite is located on the edge of the busy Kits community so parking is never a problem. As well we are far enough from the main streets so it is relatively quiet.
