Newly Renovated Spacious Walkout Basement Apartment With All The Perks

Private suite in beautiful home located midway between Asheville, Hendersonville, the Airport, Chimney Rock, The Blue Ridge Parkway, the Arboretum, UNCA, Cradle of Forestry and The Biltmore House on a very quiet, private cul-de-sac. The walkout basement is a wonderful, fully furnished Guest suite with private entry, 1 bedroom, a sleeper sofa, futon, den, big screen TV, hot tub, private covered parking, a BBQ grill, Direct TV, Football Package, WiFi and all free utilities. It is a great space for a weekend, a week or a month. In the kitchen there is a sink, a full-sized fridge, microwave, gas stove, Keurig coffee maker, granite countertops, dishes and utensils.

Our 2 Labs pretty much run the house and have full run of the fenced 1.5 acre yard. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they get along with ours. No potentially aggressive dogs please. No cats please. We are very clean but not allergen-free.

The gated backyard carport parking is right outside the door with only 1 step to negotiate. There is room for multiple cars. The hot tub sits just outside the door with an outdoor sitting deck for sunning, reading, dining or just relaxing.

Everything we had hoped it would be!
This was just the kind of place we were looking for – comfortable, pet friendly, reasonably priced in a great area! Rich and Valerie were so nice and always available. They had put a few goodies in the fridge for us and even had treats for our dog! Twin recliners, good WiFi, DirecTV, hot tub. comfy bed…what more could you want?! Our dog had a fabulous time playing with the resident labs who are as sweet as can be. We could let our dog roam the large fenced yard rather than making him stay inside the whole time. It felt just like home! We truly did enjoy our stay and will definitely be back!

Rich and Valerie have been married for 32 years and have raised two beautiful daughters that have now each graduated from college, married and moved away. We spent 20 years traveling the world with the US Air Force and have settled just south of Asheville. Rich is retired and Valerie manages a dental office. Between us, we have 7 degrees, have lived on 3 continents and have been parents to 10 Labradors.

Why they chose this property

Our house is a 4000 sq ft colonial situated midway between Asheville and Hendersonville (and the Airport). It sits on a cul-de-sac, 1/2 mile off the main road and it is tremendously serene. Since our daughters have left and the last one took the pool table we now have an entire basement to make available to travelers and we have largely renovated it to add a full kitchen, and all the furnishings and amenities a traveler would need. The 1.5 acre property is very private and the backyard is entirely fenced to keep the dogs in. Access to the back is through a double car gate and the driveway ends in a 6 car carport that is just outside the apartment sliding doors. There is also a very relaxing hot tub and a small deck for dining in the serenity that is Fox Run.

What makes this property unique

Before we retired from the USAF, we added a major addition to the house creating a 24x24 great room that is open to the gourmet kitchen. We added the extra driveway and carport and 1000 of sq ft of decking to enjoy the views. There is an inside fireplace, an outside fireplace and a campfire pit for those chilly evenings. The house is very solidly built and very little can be heard from one floor to the other. The yard backs to many acres of woods so it is totally private.
