The Cumberland House is perfectly located two blocks from the Galveston Avenue District with some of the best restaurants, breweries, recreational outfitters, and food truck pods in Bend. You can also walk through beautiful Drake Park along the Deschutes River to the Historical Downtown in about ten minutes. The front deck is a delightful spot to enjoy morning coffee, or retreat to the back deck for a quiet spot under the large canopy of trees.

For a two bedroom, one bathroom place, this house LIVES LARGE. The Cumberland House offers all the conveniences of home matched with all the amenities that travelers hope for.

This is a private, standalone house exclusively for guest use. The house, grounds, hot tub, and parking area are unshared. We have complete contactless check-in for the convenience and safety of our guests.

**This property also has a one bedroom, one bathroom standalone cottage adjacent to The Cumberland House that can be rented alone or in conjunction with the big house. This is great for larger families traveling together that want to be close yet have some privacy as well. Ask us about our discounts for booking both places for that memorable family vacation!

All towels, linens and bedding are included. We also leave guests a small amount of starter supplies including: toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry soaps, hand soaps, bath soap, shampoo, and coffee bar items mentioned above. We also provide blow dryers, iron and ironing board. Please plan accordingly to bring anything else you may wish to have with you on your trip.

Note: Guests who book this home will be required to sign an auxiliary rental packet with specific rules and information included, such as neighborhood quiet hours, check in and out time restrictions, and non-smoking policies. If you are traveling with a pet, you will also need to sign a copy of our pet rules.

Great location, central to everything
Love the stay. The house is cozy and perfect for a small family (and a dog). We enjoyed the private and quiet neighborhood, and a benefit like the hot tub on the backyard deck. It would have been even better if the backyard has grass. The location is perfect. We can walk to the river and downtown, and just a couple blocks to Galveston Ave. We would definitely come back.

Perfect location!!
This house was perfect for us. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Close to a small park which connected to trails that went to Old Mill one way along the river and to downtown Bend the other way via a walking bridge. Although Feb/March has snowy windy weather, we had a nice time and spent time in the nice jacuzzi as well as great times with our daughter and her husband. Perfect location, quiet and cozy!!

House is very clean and in great shape. Location is perfect. House felt more spacious than than anticipated. The office with the loveseat sleeper couch was very handy and really acts like a small third bedroom. Property manager Erin was great. Easy communications. Would rent it again.

Fantastic Location
Darling, unique home in a perfect location for us. Walked to Old Mill, downtown, along the river. Hosts provided a very comfortable, cozy home, with clear information about how to work everything plus tourist info. More than enough parking. If there was one more bathroom the place would be perfect. As a historical home though, it's easy to see why there is only one. Would work well for a family of four, even so. Additionally, my daughter was surprising me for my birthday by decorating the door with balloons and streamers and signs and the home manager came by to check that the house was ready; she was super kind to my daughter (who feared she might be in trouble).

What makes this property unique

My favorite feature of The Cumberland House: the spacious layout. On paper, it is just another two bedroom, one bathroom home... but in person, it is SO MUCH MORE! At over twice the size of the other small cottages in this area, it feels so open and comfortable, like you can breathe here. The layout is amazing with the open kitchen and dining concept, separate sunken family room so the kids can paly or watch TV without being in the middle of everything, good bedroom separation, private office with a door for privacy... it truly is the perfect size when you are looking for GOOD living space without feeling like you're crammed in.
