Overview

About the property

Regardless of the season, you’ll find majestic beauty and lasting memories!

Located just off Colorado Highway 9, Summit County’s main north/south link, you’ll enjoy inspiring views of Quandary, Northstar and Red mountains from the host of large windows, as well as the spacious deck of our modern mountain home.

Ready for some fun, there's always plenty to do right here at the house. Or you can take the quick 8-mile drive into downtown Breckenridge where you’ll find a myriad of shopping adventures, from stores packed with local arts and crafts, to the latest in resort wear and souvenirs. While in "Breck", why not enjoy a dining experience. You can find restaurants specializing in Swiss to Cajun, French to Italian, traditional Mexican to classic American cuisines.

Of course, you can also just stay put and soak up the Rocky Mountain sunshine and views from the deck; start a special meal on the granite counter tops of the well-appointed designer kitchen; relax in front of the rock-faced gas fireplace, or bury yourself in a good book while the in-floor heating keeps you cozy. All this while you enjoy the kind of quiet you’ll never find in the city.

When you're up for a bit more, there’s world class skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain Resorts from October to April (sometimes far later). Each of these ski areas is just a short drive from the house, or an easy ride on one the free Summit Stage buses. Also, less than an hour away, there is Vail Mountain, founded by returning members of the famed 10th Mountain Division.

Want more, you can back country ski and snowshoe in the winter, or experience great hiking in the summer by just walking out the door. Many well-marked trails to lakes, waterfalls and wild flowers can be found nearby.

Don't forget fishing, photography, biking (Summit County is chocked full of both mountain and road bike trails).

Mountain climbing? Sure! The trail head for 14,265-foot Quandary Peak is a short walk from the front door, but please don't try this one if you're not used to strenuous exercise at altitude.

We absolutely loved our stay!

The home was so cozy and well kept and perfect for our quilting retreat! The location of the home gives you the real mountain experience. Easy access to shopping. The manager of the property answered any emails promptly. Definitely would recommend to our friends to stay!

Everything we were looking for

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our time here.

When we first arrived, the cleaning crew inadvertently forgot to turn the water back on. So we had no hot water. We called and it was taken care of immediately. So, kudos to the quick response.

Great trails in the area. Our children loved all the different places they could sled.

Saw a fox.

It was just a few minutes from Breckenridge and was properly snowplowed so we weren't snowed in the whole day. So many options in the area for skiing/snowboarding.

Definitely would want to rent this place again.

Owner's Response: We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay and must apologize again for the temporary setback with the water. It is also always thrilling to hear that the children enjoyed the many adventures just outside the door. As you probably recognized, our home was designed expressly to meet the variety of needs that most families have. When you next want to stay, please don't hesitate to contact us and remind us that you are eligible for the returning guests rate. James Collins

Comfortable, cozy and accommodating cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin in the aspens was very fitting for our holiday get-a-way to Breckenridge. We loved the temperature controls in each of the rooms and especially the in-floor heat in the bathrooms. The main room was perfect for watching television and playing games and all the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. We cooked up all our meals in the accommodating kitchen, complete with cookware, stemware, silverware, and tea and coffee essentials. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer available as well as the forever going dishwasher. We appreciated the recycling bins, the wi-fi, the open views and the nice decor. Although it is a bit out-of-town, we would definitely return here in the future!

Lovely house and property

  • 5 of 5

This house is just beautiful. The beds were comfy. The living areas were cozy. The creek just outside the back door was a real hit with the kids. The property manager was friendly and very accommodating. I've already recommended it to friends. Basically, it was just a great experience for the whole family.

Great quiet space!

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation to Breckenridge was a wonderful experience! The home was spacious enough for all of us and we enjoyed being able to make our own meals. The home is in a beautiful quiet setting. The kids enjoyed sledding near by. We were able to ski a couple of resorts which was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
